  • BecauseofAlaina - Jul 12, 2012 3:32 am (#77 Total: 292)

mom to Emily (36 weeker)- 8 yo, Alaina (33 weeker)- 5 yo, Matthew (37 weeker)- 3 yo

    Hey ladies,
Crazy summer. I always feel so busy.

Lauren- She is absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations and I am glad you are home.

Laura-Glad Nathan is feeling better. You should definatley get some rest.

Hope everyone is doing well. I tried to read everything but I was so out of the loop. I figured I would start fresh, lol.
Been busy lately. I started applying for some full time jobs. I interviewed yesterday for a pharmaceutical sales representative position. Part of me wants to get it but the other part of me does not want to get it because it is a good 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours of travel to get there each way. If they dont offer than I dont need to make decision. I hate makimg decisions. Hopefully everything works out.
Well off to bed, speak to everyone tomorrow.

    stacyat - Jul 12, 2012 3:35 am (#78 Total: 292)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: Is it the scenara? That's what my parents have and it's a pain in the bootie to get installed rearfacing, in fact, I haven't figured out how to do it yet, lol! So glad you're home home!!

Laura: I hope Nathan is feeling better and you're able to get caught up on sleep tonight!

Liz: Ugh, I hope Tori is feeling better soon too!

After dinner I noticed Elim felt a bit warm but figured it was just me because I always think he feels warm, then my mom noticed so we checked his temp, 102.3! Poor baby, I think it's a tummy thing judging from the diapers and gas we've been getting out of him today. He's still eating like a champ though, but tomorrow we'll go to a more bland dairy free diet to try to help him out.

    Madisons mom - Jul 12, 2012 9:19 am (#79 Total: 292)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

Tracy o my goodness I'm so not laughing with that. I would have been screaming like a little girl. I HATE bees and wasps. Seriosly so afraid of them. I've never been stung either and really dont ever want to be. I remember being little and my cousin was around 5 years old...he took a baseball bat to a bee hive (yes he was a beast) we were at a family bbq. He was COVERED with stings. Serisouly tramatized me (yes he got stung and I was tramatized lol)

Katie I want your life. You guys are all so adventerous. Love your pics on fb. Maddie wouldnt do half of what your kids do....shes a bit to sheltered lol She would be the kind to *watch* You have awesome pics and I'm sure making some incredible memories.

    Madisons mom - Jul 12, 2012 9:30 am (#80 Total: 292)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

Lauren so happy you guys are home. She is beautiful. Love the pic from your blog. So cute. Cant wait for that picture. xoxo

Laura...you gotta be shot. Hope you get to take a nap today or at least go to bed early

O well...its 5:30 again and I'm wide awak with heartburn AGAIN. Third night in a row. Now I know its not what I'm eating. I cant drink anything at night I took another zantac tonight. Cant stand it. Havent taken anything just been watching what my triggers have been but my cousin who is a nurse said the damage I do can last well after the pregnancy is over....enough said. Cant deal with this forever. I popped that bad boy lol hasnt kicked in yet but lol
Getta get some sleep...tomorrow we are ordering all our blinds and painting banisters that the painter didnt...fun fun.

    lvazquez - Jul 12, 2012 2:54 pm (#81 Total: 292)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lorena - I'm glad Miss V is feeling better. I hope that the school projects are going okay with S. Bummer that there isn't more of a caseload at work ($). I'm hoping that will turn around for you soon:)

Lauren - How are you? How are your M&Ms doing? Hope you are all settling in and just enjoying:)

Jessica - Sorry about the heartburn. Hoping that you can catch up on some zzz's. Ordering blinds is super fun:) Did Maddie get to keep her chandelier?

Laura - Hope N is feeling better and that you can catch up on much needed zzz's.

Geri - Happy summer to you! I know what you mean about hoping not to get a call so that you don't have to decide. Wishing you peace with your decision should the phone ring.

Liz - Did you get rain? We did last night and supposed to continue all through this weekend. Yay, I can save on watering my plants!

    Angel Love - Jul 12, 2012 3:29 pm (#82 Total: 292)

Jess~ Thanks for the sympathy on the sting!! You're a true friend!! I'd tell that painter to get his butt back to the house to paint the banister too....the job's not done!

Laura~ Really, 5 a.m. and then to work at 7?? Nope---that'd have to be a call-in for me. I'd never be able to function!

Lindsay~ Woohoo on the rain! We've had some this week too which is so needed! To go with it, the temperatures have been bearable so overall....a much better time to be in GA!

Stacy~ I hope Elim is feeling better! I'm not a fan of fevers, but the ones with the "normal" activity are hard to figure out.

Geri~ Hope the job situation works out just like you want it to.

Ansley and I are total bums today! I rolled out of bed around 9 and curled up on the couch with a book while Ansley snoozed until 10:40!!! We're both still in pajamas at 11:30 and not making plans to change that situation!!

    NathansMom13 - Jul 12, 2012 5:32 pm (#83 Total: 292)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Yeah I was exhasuted at work. I knew if I called in during the ER visit it would be the middle of the night they wouldn't be able to find anyone to cover me so I figured I'd just stick it our and go in. I had a few incidents during the day with my residents so they kept me busy so I didn't have time to notice how sleepy I was.

Jess, have fun with your painting! You should ask to see a GI dr who might be able to help with long-term side effects of all this heartburn. I'm not sure if carafate is OK for pregnant women but it might help to minimize damage.

Geri, hope the job stuff works out.

Tracy, hope you had a nice relaxing day!

Stacy, hope Elim is feeling better today!

I'm off to go finish cleaning the house and doing laundry. We're going to my Aunt's for the weekend so the boys can go to the zoo so I need to get laundry done so we can bring CLEAN clothes with us

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 12, 2012 11:26 pm (#84 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy- Hrmm, yeah we thought we'd use it rear facing... totally annoying. So we waited until front facing and it rocks, so light.

Lindsay- Um, seriously, you just totally nicknamed my kids! I'll be calling them the M&Ms until they're like 25.

Laura- Sorry to hear that Nathan landed in the ER... and that you had to go to work so soon after! Egads!

Tracy- I love that Ansley inherited your love of sleep! That's so awesome, sorry about the sting too... ouchies.

Lorena- Oy, the amount of homework S has! What grade is he in now?

Ladies... I'm so stinkin' excited... my BP has dropped low enough that I can test out just taking my meds once at lunch! I'm stoked!

    NathansMom13 - Jul 13, 2012 2:23 am (#85 Total: 292)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

    Yippie on the BP meds!!

    stacyat - Jul 13, 2012 2:46 am (#86 Total: 292)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Jessica: Keep on taking that zantac! It took about three days before the pepcid totally kicked in for me and the pain stopped, then the second I forgot a single pill it went back to heartburn city!

Lindsay: Send that rain onto us! We need it!

Tracy: I'm hoping once Elim adjusts he'll be back to sleeping till 8! He tried waking up at 6:30 today mommy was not a fan.

Laura: I'm with Tracy, no way I would've been able to function!

Lauren: WOOHOO for the freedom from one of the doses for your meds!! Maybe in another week you'll be able to drop another!

No luck on the feeling better, he was so miserable today. Then to top it off he's got a flaming butt rash. Poor kid, screaming when I use wipes and even when I just tried running luke warm water on it, that induced tears even Going to the doctor tomorrow since he's had 2 days of fever over 102.

I did end up getting him a carseat though! Target has the my ride 65s on sale for 25 off (sans the safety surround which I hated) to make room for the my ride 70s! So I got one of those when I was there buying bland foods for Elim. I still don't think it's his tummy, but acid-free foods will be better for his hiney. Anyway, got it all ready and installed to test out tomorrow! If he likes it we'll keep it in my car and give the other to my parents for their car.

    Angel Love - Jul 13, 2012 3:31 am (#87 Total: 292)

Lauren~ Yay for lower doses!!! ....or should I say fewer doses? Anyway, yay for lower bp!!!!!

Stacy~ Boo for the hiney hurt! I hope that clears up sooner than later. That's so sad when they get a terrible rash.

Bought a new Nicholas Sparks book yesterday and finished it today! Safe Haven----GREAT! I had no doubt because his books don't usually disappoint me, but still have to give a shout out if you're looking for an easy read for the summer days!

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 13, 2012 7:58 am (#88 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy- So sorry to hear Elim isn't feeling well! And I had to laugh at him waking up at 6:30am as "early"... that's so when Micah wakes up every day! Today he got up at 7:15... that was so late for him!

Tracy- Never read one of his books... I don't think I'll be reading anything for another 2 years, so remind me then!

    lvazquez - Jul 13, 2012 4:42 pm (#89 Total: 292)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lauren - I hope you don't mind the nickname:) Loving that picture on your last blog entry!!! Hoorah for less dosage!

Tracy - He wrote the Notebook right? I think I just saw him on a rerun of Anderson Cooper this week. I'll have to check it out. Pajamas, sounds good to me:)

Stacy - Ah, poor Elim! I hope his fever goes away and burny hiney subsides. I'll will the rain your way and hope for the best. It's getting dark again now and there's bound to be some more wet roads for sure.

Eh bien, demain c'est le jour de la Bastille en France. Tomorrow is Bastille Day and I guess I care because I "used to" teach French:) So, there's a little thing going on at the MIM (Musical Instrument Museum) and we'll be headed over there to hear some French music, sample French food, and learn about musical instruments. Funny because all this week, D has been walking around the house randomly saying, "Qu'est-ce que c'est?" Oh, and because July is (former) educator month, we be FREE!

    Arnara - Jul 13, 2012 8:24 pm (#90 Total: 292)

Lindsay: you are so right, "La Toma de la Bastilla" as it is called in Spanish... What a fiasco must have been to "free" only 3 prisoners... You know I used to imagine The Bastille as a lovely French castle, not the former jail....oh so lovely that D speaks French... And that activista At The museum sounds great....

Lauren: wooohooo for medicine low dossage .... Though I am not sure what was for....

Tracy: i am not huge fan of Nicholas Sparks books.... I read Dear John, and even though it was Ok it was little slow... I want to read "50 shades of grey" ... I am going to but it for kindle.... I am right Now finishing game of thrones, Clash of crowns.... Year for waling up late and being in PJ

Stacy: so Glad you found The carseat.... That is awesome, that They give you a trial period....so sorry for Elim, and painful.... Hope he is better soon.....

Geri: good Luck with The work search...

Jessica: so sorry for The heartburn....In Valentina's pregnancy I think I developed a sea food allergy, and 3 years later I cant stand sea food, specially sushi....

Well we Will try to The móviles Today.... I know I know Friday night ugh I just received a Message that I have to go back to The office....

    Lorena

    Arnara - Jul 13, 2012 11:00 pm (#91 Total: 292)

ugh sorry for my phone autocorrect.....

    Lindsay: I mean "activity"

Tracy; I mean " yeah! for waking up"

Jessica: hahaha, I read a joke; I am on sea food diet.... I "see" food an eat it....

I mean we are going to the movies later, to see S super heroe since he was 3.... of course I am talking about Spiderman.... he has every comic, movie, t-shirt of him, even all his room and bathroom is decorated with Spiderman..... Well when I was rushing to the office I received a message that the client was heading to the airport, so no chance he can sign the documents, so I turned home.....uufff Friday's traffic is horrible.....

    Happy Weekend.....

    Lorena

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 13, 2012 11:58 pm (#92 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lorena- Oooh let us know how it is! We really want to see that and Batman.

Lindsay- Oh my gosh, we love the M&Ms! Especially 'cause hubby and I are L&L. So now we can be L&L and A M&M Enjoy the french festivities! Thought of you while buying french bread... or shall I saw Baguette today.

    Stacy- How is Mr. Elim?

Oma took Micah out to swim at the pool and hang with Tanta... strange to not have him around! I miss my goobie!

    Angel Love - Jul 14, 2012 12:44 am (#93 Total: 292)

Lindsay~ Yes, he wrote The Notebook. He has tons of books that have been made into a movie and I've only seen one of them. I haven't seen the whole movie of that one.... I don't like to break the pic in my head!!

Lorena~ I live in the south which is where most of his stories are set so I like the pace of the books. It's like "real life"....except my life is so boring that I live through those characters.

Lauren~ That was sweet of the family to take Micah for a swim. I'm sure he'll enjoy the special attention and maybe you can catch a nap with Makaela.

Ansley and I headed to Build-a-Bear with a couple of friends today. (Yes, my friends and hers!) She had a gift card from her b-day and it was burning a whole in her pocket!! We're now the new owners of Rainbow Hunter. (Guess what color she is!!! ) She enjoyed herself....I guess that's what counts, right?

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 14, 2012 2:17 am (#94 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

I stink at taking naps. Tracy, you'll have to host a nap taking lesson at SU.

    stacyat - Jul 14, 2012 2:19 am (#95 Total: 292)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: I just finished reading the lucky one by Nicholas Sparks, it was decent, kinda predictable though.

Lauren: Yeah, well he woke up bright and early at 6 am this morning, blah. He woke up with a fever this morning, went away with motrin then was totally gone when I checked right before dinner when there was no more motrin in his system. Picked him up out of his high chair and he was burning up, 102.8 when we got home, ugh!! Diaper rash is a lot better though at least.

Lindsay: That sounds like a fun trip!! I bet the kids will love it, and I know you will too!

Doctor was booked up and said since he didn't have any other symptoms just to wait and watch, if he still has a fever tomorrow by lunchtime to bring him into urgent care. Fingers crossed we don't have to go!

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 14, 2012 7:53 am (#96 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Stacy- Aw yuckers! I wonder if the rash and fever are related. Here's hoping there's no urgent care in your future!

I might stink at everything else pregnancy related, BUT... I think I'm about 4 days away from rockin' a pair of pre-preggo pants. What what?!

    lvazquez - Jul 14, 2012 5:58 pm (#97 Total: 292)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy - I hope Elim is better and that you don't have to take a visit to the urgent care. Glad to hear that the diaper rash is clearing up.

Lorena - Let us know how you liked the movie. I'm curious too:) Plans to see Ice Age Continental Drift next weekend:) Trying to spread out the fun, you know?

Tracy - Sounds like you all had a nice time at Build-A-Bear. I've been there, but I haven't taken the kids yet. I bet Ansley is having fun with her new rainbow friend:)

Lauren - I like all of those letters together:) Very sweet:) Glad to hear that you've got some extra hands to give Micah some extra love. Hoping that you can catch that nap soon. And thanks for thinking of me with the bread purchase:)

Off to the museum. This should be interesting . . .

    Angel Love - Jul 14, 2012 6:50 pm (#98 Total: 292)

Stacy~ I guess I don't read enough to find things "predictable". Well, let's say I don't read for pleasure enough....I read plenty between work and grad school! Boo for Elim's dr. not being available. Hopefully the fever will go away....

What other authors do you girls enjoy?? I like stories that might actually happen and that are easy to read.

Lauren~ You go girl on getting back into the pre-preggo sized jeans! I still can't get in my pre-preggo stuff The sizes have been the same at times, but my body isn't situated the same as before.

    Lindsay~ Enjoy the museum!

We had lunch today with a friend at a local BBQ place. So yummy!!! Nothing fancy and nothing overpriced---just what I needed today!

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 14, 2012 7:54 pm (#99 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

BBQ should always be delicious and well priced. Yuuuummy.

I'm reading Bill Cosby's Childhood right now... Hilarious!!

Lindsay- Have fun at the museum... hope it all goes well!

Still trying to get house back in order from leaving so abruptly and unpacking bags... it never ends...

    Angel Love - Jul 14, 2012 9:00 pm (#100 Total: 292)

    Ugh....bags! I hate unpacking!!

I need to go through drawers and closets to get out any clothes that need to be donated so that it's not such a pain to put things away. Then again.....that's work!

    I'm so lazy!!!

    stacyat - Jul 15, 2012 3:07 am (#101 Total: 292)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: I'm not sure! I was leaning more towards the rash being from either too much acidic fruit or too much milk irritating his tummy but it could be related! Boo on the unpacking, our house was a wreck for weeks after we got back to Guam from all the crap I'd accumulated over six months.

Lindsay: How'd the trip to the museum go?

Tracy: Lol, that was my first Nicholas Sparks book I read. I'm a book worm though, but usually only once Elim is in bed and Charles too when he's here. Makes for some tired days but it's my me time when I can't get out. I have bizarre taste.....right now I'm reading the Earth's Children series by Jean Auel.

His fever is a tad better, highest today was 101.7, though last night it was 102.8 right before bed, had a few normal ones in there and overnight last night it was 95.8.....yeah, bizarre. He keeps spiking them then it goes down to normal-ish then back on up. If he has above 101 tomorrow I'm bringing him into the urgent care clinic to see what's going on.

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 15, 2012 7:52 am (#102 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Tracy- Reframe... not lazy, just prioritizing other things.

Stacy- Aw, that poor kiddo! Hope his mood is at least ok through the fever.

So the other day at dinner Micah was being his ole' comedic self and said after a mini monologue about something, "It's like... It's like.. it's like (between each one pausing... thinking).. It's like, holy crap!" We tried to keep straight faced but it was impossible!

    lvazquez - Jul 15, 2012 3:26 pm (#103 Total: 292)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy - Ooh, sorry your little man is still spiking a fever. Hope he feels better soon.

Lauren - Woah, has Micah been watching the commercial/trailor for the new Ice Age movie? Could he be saying, "Holy crab?" Yeah, I would have a hard time not laughing too:)

Tracy - Honestly, I haven't picked up any fiction books in awhile. Sorry, no recommendations here. Hey, no worries. It's summer and it's okay to be lazy:)

The museum outing went well. We had never been there before. There was a hands-on exhibit where people can play instruments from various countries. That was their favorite part! We were able to catch one French song from a performance, but listened from a distance. We watch for triggers and Mr. T was letting us know that it was too loud for him. We also realize that he needs more exposure to escalators, so we know we've got to get to a mall early and practice. We're slowly getting out there though and it's been good for all of us:)

    Angel Love - Jul 15, 2012 6:07 pm (#104 Total: 292)

Lindsay~ I'm glad that the museum trip went well.

Stacy~ Crazy fevers!! I hope that either the stinkin' thing goes away or that you get answers today.

Lauren~ Too funny!!! My nephew through out a "vocabulary word" the other day that was less than appropriate for an 8 year old. I handled it carefully explaining that it was not okay because he honestly had no idea, but it was really hard not to laugh because it sounds so funny coming from him!

Just ate a huge lunch of "home" cooking and my belly being full strongly suggests a nap. (Moreso than usual!!) Think I'm gonna have to check back in later.....

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jul 15, 2012 7:06 pm (#105 Total: 292)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lindsay- We've got no one to blame but ourselves... Glad the museum was a hit for everyone.

Tracy- You rock that nap momma!

    Sunday Sunday...
