My name is Hailey and I live in North Central Vermont. Any other Vermont moms or dads here? Our son was in the NICU at Fletcher Allen for 30 days.

    Hailey -

I'm not from Vermont but my son was at FAHC for 6 1/2 weeks in the first part of 2004. Will be at the grad party in June!

My two beautiful daughter, Hannah and Isabelle were born on Sept. 25th at 27+ weeks. They are certainly very small but are doing really well all things considered. I'd appreciate any support, comments, ideas of other parents who had children in the Fletcher Allen NICU.

    Take care,
    Brendan

    care at Fletcher Allen

    Hi Brendan!

Your girls are in the *best* hands. They are all top-notch health care providers! Owen was born at 28 weeks in January of 2004 and we owe his life to the great care they provided. I also know the current Social Worker in the NICU - Deana. She is *fabulous* and is all-too familiar with the roller coaster of the NICU --- she lived it in 2003-2004 with the birth of her girls at 24 weeks.

I live in Plattsburgh but Owen was born at FAHC. We lived at the Ronald McDonald House while he was in NICU. Those folks are also *incredible*.

I'm going to send this message to you directly via email, too. Please contact me with any questions!!! I hope that you have been able to connect with other NICU parents but I also know that sometimes that doesn't happen. You never know who will be in the NICU when your child is there and sometimes people are lucky enough to find a support system right there with the other parents.

Hope your girls are doing great!!

    Lori
