Akeelah's Mommy - Jun 5, 2012 5:41 am (#19 Total: 221)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lorena- Just heard on the radio... full moon... maybe that's what's drivin' the kids wild. Micah was constipated so just an all over unhappy camper... and then on top of that just a lil' boy today. Hope the crayon comes off.

Tracy- Let her know we give Home Depot thumbs up over here. Micah is crazy for their racer car wagons... and the workshops always so well run- years ago I used to go with kiddos with special needs- always so accommodating.

Early morning tomorrow...

KHolley - Jun 5, 2012 12:27 pm (#20 Total: 221)

Tracy-Glad you got out early! I laughed at you doing the crafts at Home Depot!!!

Lauren-Boo for the short nap, but glad he woke up in a good mood!

Lorena-I am glad you have a great new job! You will be wonderful!

Today is the last day for students! I am so happy for this year to be over! We are heading to Vegas on Friday. This is the first time that I have been away from the kids that long, I am super nervous! Glad my mom is keeping them, so I know they will be safe!

lvazquez - Jun 5, 2012 5:08 pm (#21 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Katie - Congrats on your final school day! Have a blast in Vegas!

Laura - Hope the haircut went well for your little guy and that they saved some hair clippings for you:)

Lorena - Sounds like the flexibility is cool! Bummer about the pay at the end though. Funny about paydays, I've already marked them all for the upcoming school year (for my husand as verdict is still out on me). Boobies still hurt a bit when I hear a crying baby:(

Lauren - Woah, Jem, Jem, the music's contagious, outrageous. Jem is my name no one else is the same. Jem is my name - Jem!
Took me back a few years lady! I feel old(er).

Tracy - Sorry for the work, but sounds like it's a lively group. When I sneak out to dip in the pool, I sneak out for 15 min. or so to do some laps and I've only recently started to do that when it's just my oldest. He's at the kitchen table and I can see him from the pool. He's just happy to get his computer time since we all fight for it these days. Could never do that with just Mr. T.

Hubby is at summer conference thing on PLC's (snore) today and then community college training thing tomorrow. Just me and the kiddos. Just a few more days of medication for Mr. T and then we can resume our pool time together.

liz loschinskey - Jun 5, 2012 5:46 pm (#22 Total: 221)

I love my kids!

Hi. Holy. I'm far behind. I wish this week were over already. Today is day 5 on this hellish week. Tomorrow my besties and I will be doing dinner and drinks at mad mex, no kids. So that will be nice. I purposely have my day slightly packed tomorrow so I don't sit here and gorge myself with food and cry all day while watching Steve Wilko's. I'm good for that when I'm all out of sorts.

Lorena, congrats on the job and the flexibility of the job.

Lindsay, I'm not sure what you are singing but you go girl! And, I wish we had a pool, so I could do laps.

Katie, Vegas? What did I miss? I've never been to Vegas, have fun!

Tracy, Lauren, Jackie....hi!!

Angel Love - Jun 5, 2012 5:54 pm (#23 Total: 221)

Katie~ Woohoo on the kids getting out of school!!! Even bigger woohoo for the trip that follows!! I know you just lost my number when you were going to ask if I wanted to go too. No worries.....email me and I'll give it to you again, so I won't miss the next trip!!

Lindsay~ Girl---you know ALL the words!!! You are a total Jem fan aren't you??!!!!

Lauren~ I can't help but laugh at you posting Micah's "real" reason for being grumpy. I can't wait till he's older and reads back over this.....LOL!!!!!

Lunch with my mom and sister today. Too bad all of the kids were with us and all were SUPER WILD!!!

While there, I saw several of our National Guardsmen, one of which is a good friend of mine. I found out that they're being deployed (again) in February. Can I just say I'm not a fan of deployments....and I'm not even blood related???!!! I can just imagine how Stacy, Tracey, and many others like them feel!

stacyat - Jun 6, 2012 1:36 am (#24 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Woah, trippy cafe, love it!

Lorena: Glad your first day of work went well!! Oooh, snazzy new painted office and furniture too, fun!

Lauren: Elim was totally hit by the full moon too, he was up at 3, 3:30, 4, and 4:30, argh!! I went ahead and fed him because I knew that'd make him pass out and it sure did! I'll be repeating that on any wakeups until we're home, then he gets retrained.

Katie: Oooh, have fun in Vegas!

Just now getting caught up. I'm ready to go home! Two weeks was too long to be here, we're tired of being here and I'm pretty sure my friend's dad is tired of a baby in the house! Oh well, live and learn. It'll help with the planning of my road trip if I'm still gonna go.

Angel Love - Jun 6, 2012 1:50 am (#25 Total: 221)

Stacy~ Early wakeups.....that stinks!! Glad the love of mommy milk will do the trick every time!!

It's always hard to know how long to plan a trip with friends....you want to have enough time to enjoy, but not so long that you're miserable at the end. Just be sure that if you come to GA to visit your brother, that you give me a call for at least a few hours of chat time over lunch or dinner!

lvazquez - Jun 6, 2012 4:12 pm (#26 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy - It's hard to judge those things some time, but hey, trial and error. You visited them, so now it'll be their turn to visit you:)

Tracy - Yeah, I was a total fan:)

Speech today for Mr. T and sounds like there's an opening for us to start PT in mid-June. Hoorah!

Angel Love - Jun 6, 2012 9:26 pm (#27 Total: 221)

Alright girls.....where are ya'll???

I've been in class all day and at 5:25 p.m.---only one post???!!! Really????

Spill the beans---what fun things are you doing to keep you away from Share??

Arnara - Jun 6, 2012 10:32 pm (#28 Total: 221)

Katie: wow! Vegas...... I loved that place..... I went for my honeymoon, first I was not so sure about it, since I don't like gambling and thought all was casinos, but I enjoyed it so much, specially the seafood buffet for $ 9.99 (13 years ago)......

Tracy: nope I have no great thing to do..... just work, and now I am sitting here watching S do his homework..... believe me it is no fun.... How was your class??? And your online class??

Lindsay: So glad you could have a PT in mid June..... I am not so sure what that is....... how are your sunny days???

Stacy: I still don't have new furniture, just an old table, old computer, but it works for me..... oh those waking ups at nights....not fun thing...... Visits, yes I get tire of them, they are fun for a while, but later on not..... We have a saying in my country, Visits and dead stink at 3 days.... meaning limit your visit time......Specially if they do not have children.......

Lauren: How is Micah today??? Moon effect over?

So today arrived my assistant, I do not know what I should ask or say, I never had an assistant before in my life..... The other lawyer said she is there to do the documents and print them so I can check them after and sign them, but I like to do legal documents, what is the point of hiring a notary if the assistant do the paper?....I arrived today at 8;20 am and work in papers.... didn't notice the time..... I like this job, it is fun.....

V had her speech today..... she had to speak about a public worker in English..... We choose Dr (it is more easy to dress up) she was so happy...... You could hardly understand her, but it was ok..... S has an Eng project, he has to speak all the time in Eng and if he tells jokes in English he gets extra points....... Anyone has a good joke for kids??? I found one: Have you heard of the new restaurant on the moon?? ..... Great food no atmosphere..
By the way I found funny videos on YT ... I liked the ones of David Letterman with kids.....so funny.......

Oh Lauren I still don't know about that Jem..... I will have to google it.....

Good afternoon
Lorena

ethan&casey's mom - Jun 7, 2012 12:38 am (#29 Total: 221)

mom to angels ethan and casey (3-7-07); daughters Kaelin Reese born happy and healthy on 3-10-09; and Kelsey Grace on 9/17/11

Hi girls!
Lorena: glad to hear you are enjoying your work. you will probably find good use for your assistant once you get into your work more. miss v had to do a speech in English? Wow... very advanced.

Stacy: looks like you are enjoying your trip. always nice to go away but even nicer to come home. how is elim doing without daddy? Kaelin was oblivious to Dan's absence at that age, but she did become a mom's girl. this year when we came back from Florida she sobbed for him... especially at night.

Tracy: don't u ever get tired of school?

Katie: enjoy vegas! I've never been there. Dan and I need to figure out where to use the airline tix I won last year for the mod family teams challenge. and with or without kids!

Liz: nice to see you last night. tori is a cutie. I was very impressed with Mike's eagerness to jump in and help for the walk this weekend. Dan doesn't do crap .

Lindsey: yay for getting in for therapy. hope all of u have a great summer.

my team of four raised $4349 for this year's walk, which is on Sunday. I raised about 3500 of it myself. nice to actually have others interested in raising moneyand being on the team!

Ok, my finger is tired from typing on my phone.

Angel Love - Jun 7, 2012 12:54 am (#30 Total: 221)

Erin~ WOW!!! What a great total!!! That's awesome!

As for school......YES!!!!!! I'm very tired of school at this point, but I only have until the end of June, then I have two more classes to go!! June is always rough because it's three different classes, but once the fall comes, we only have one class once a week. Needless to say, there will be no more degrees for me....for a long while. At least my new professor today seems pretty cool and isn't looking to just drive us totally insane for the fun of it!!

Lorena~ Speech??? For V?????? I'm seriously amazed at your kids' curriculum at such young ages.

As for the assistant....I understand! Sometimes, it's just easier to do it yourself than have to explain it to someone else. Don't get me wrong...I love my assistant (even though I have to share with other teachers) and don't know what I'd do without her.

stacyat - Jun 7, 2012 3:01 am (#31 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: Mommy milk is like a sedative, it's great, haha!!

Lindsay: Probably not! Part of me coming here is because it feels like home to me! Woohoo for the opening!

Lorena: Wow, they get the kids speaking English really young, and speeches at that age?! Wow!!

Erin: He's not seeming to be affected at all! When I play the story that he recorded he'll say da and point to the computer but isn't extra fussy or anything. Awesome fundraising!!

We went to the zoo today! Elim hugged a goat, it was pretty funny! The Philly zoo is pretty cool, the exhibits were amazing! Still kinda odd seeing the Amish out among normal peeps though. Tomorrow we're doing a playground, farmers market, returning the car, lunch and errands then the day after HOME! Well, my parents anyway they want me to sleep over since they've got the dog and don't want me unloading by myself in the middle of the night.

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy - So cute that Elim hugged a goat! Take your parents up on their offer!

Tracy - I'm glad your new prof is cool. That totally helps:)

Lorena - Sorry, PT is short for physical therapy. We've been on a waitlist for a bit, and there's finally an opening coming up. It sounds like Miss V did great on her speech! I'm REALLY concerned about the level of education in this country when I hear all that your kiddos are doing. Amazing! How very cool that you have an assistant.

Erin - Your total is awesome! Wishing you some great weather for your upcoming walk.

It might be a Chuck E. Cheese Day. Got to check to see what time they open. If it's 9 a.m., we're so there:)

Lorena - "In this country," I meant the U.S. We are kinda behind.

Angel Love - Jun 7, 2012 5:14 pm (#34 Total: 221)

Stacy~ Awww....goat lovin'!!! I remember when I was a kid, there was a petting zoo at Six Flags. I was petting a goat as my family walked away and the goat quietly started to eat my dress!! I remember it very clearly even this many years later....scarred me for life.

Scoped out party locations for Ansley's party this morning! We know the park that we want to use, but was looking at table locations near the lake. Hopefully it'll be beautiful weather!!

Now I need to be working on assignments for next week so that I can be stress free for Vacation Bible School week!!! I've not been able to help for the past two summers due to school work so this summer I agreed to help. Just gotta manage my time well....which is not my strong point.

Angel Love - Jun 8, 2012 8:52 pm (#35 Total: 221)

Okay girls----I'm about to dish out the "shame-shame"!!! It's already 8 days into June and Lauren had our new cafe up and ready with perfect timing and there are only 34 posts!

We're totally gonna have to have a party in here soon or something!

lvazquez - Jun 8, 2012 9:23 pm (#36 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Tracy - Okay, I hear you:) So, you've scoped out an ideal park for Ansley's b-day bash. By a lake, sounds perfect:) Does she have a particular theme in mind or is she letting you choose all that stuff? I was laughing at your goat memories because I have a similar one. I visited a petting zoo when I was probably 4 or so and the thing kept following me! Freaked me out! One thing about petting zoos when walking around, is it a food pellet or is it poop?

Akeelah's Mommy - Jun 9, 2012 2:42 am (#37 Total: 221)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Just a fly by...

It's big time out here to write stuff on people's cars for graduation... other folks do that?

It's VERY worrisome to me, that on I'd say about oooooh 85% of the cars there is an awful grammar mistake. Today I drove behind "Your 17!!" I hope the person who wrote it wasn't also a graduate or I'm worried... very very worried. I should carry a red window marker with me so I can go around correcting all the mistakes!

Angel Love - Jun 9, 2012 2:01 pm (#38 Total: 221)

Lauren~ LOL!!! I see the same thing around here!! Except here, it's not just graduations, but girlfriends lovin' their man, etc. Teehee.....I can just see you with a red marker randomly correcting grammar on car windows!!

Lindsay~ She's not set on a theme, but has decided what colors she'd like to use. They're pretty popular colors so hopefully I can work with her wishes. Now my job is to figure out how to incorporate Taylor's flower arrangement with Ansley's choices. I'm sure those two would've butted heads about birthday parties ....their personalities are just so different (from my time with them inside of me )

VBS starts tomorrow night and I have TONS of homework to do so I must get off this site and get busy on boring research sites.......

lvazquez - Jun 9, 2012 2:34 pm (#39 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Tracy - I'm sure your decorations and ideas are going to be just perfect for your girls' day. Sorry for the boring research sites.

Lauren - Too funny! It's popular here too. I know, scary to see the grammar mistakes. Such a good idea to have a red window pen. The look on the person's face coming out to their car to read the correction would be PRICELESS:)

Trying to figure out what's going on with our drip system in the front. It's not working right and I've been watering our foliage and trees by hand for a week. It's so hot, I'm afraid we're going to lose 'em for not going enough H2O. Don't really want to spend the cash to replace pygmy date palms right now:(

Arnara - Jun 9, 2012 5:19 pm (#40 Total: 221)

Lauren: I see it all the time, on papers, even in some of S teachers' notes, and yes I grab a green pen and circle them, I can't help it..... I truly hope that if you see any mistakes I make here please let me know.... remember that Eng is not my first language....

Lindsay: I think my kids schools are advanced because they have European program.... not all schools here are like this, but yes Eng in my country is a "must" class every children have.....I hope you can save your pygmy date palms..... hey, are they not suppose to resist in the desert? I can imagine the hot weather in AZ ....

Tracy: Glad you have all settle for Ansley's Bday party, so thoughtful of you to have also set for Taylor..... S Birthday is next Friday..... I have not prepare anything.... I would take some kids to laser shot at a mall, then have them over here, some pizza, S and I are planning a treasure hunt for the guests, and a terror movie...... S is so thrilled, this boy really loves Bday parties, well both of them do, V cries saying is also her Bday, poor girl she has to wait until November...... I try to make it the most special day for them.......

Erin: congratulations!!! Awesome fond raising...... glad you were able to meet Liz (and Ellen?) ...... hope your WE walk is fine.....

Liz: How was your mex girls' night out...... mmmm.... I am thinking of a Margarita...... Is 11 am to early for one??

Katie: I hope you are enjoying Vegas so much....

Work is fine, just so consuming..... I sit there absorb in papers, this week it will be courtrooms.....not my favorite part..... today is my FIL Birthday so we are invited for dinner..... So later we will go out to find a gift for him..... S has a birthday party of a classmate in the children's Museum tomorrow morning ..... well that are our WE plans......If I can move my DH from the couch....Soccer..... Euro Cup .... If Italy plays tomorrow seems like we will be doom and not get out of the house.....

Happy Saturday everyone

Lorena

stacyat - Jun 9, 2012 6:06 pm (#41 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: Haha! I'd be traumatized too if a goat ate my dress! I totally think Emilyn and Hailey would've butted heads too, Hailey was always throwing kicks and punches and Emilyn was always just twisting and turning. Silly kids.

I'm finally home! Got laundry started and most of my stuff put away. Definitely nice to start getting settled back into home and into some sort of routine. I'm sure Elim will appreciate it too, he seems to already be happy as he's taking a super long nap right now in his crib! I'm sure it's a lot more comfy than the pack n plays!

Arnara - Jun 9, 2012 6:22 pm (#42 Total: 221)

Stacy: So glad you are back home, and enjoying your day....with laundry..... I forgot to comment on your zoo visit, I am not particular with kids petting animals, a friend's kid was bitten by a pony, nasty bit..... traumatizing for a kid I am sure, they are animals, unpredictable, and with temper of their own, so I prefer to keep my and my kids distances from them.....

Lorena

Angel Love - Jun 9, 2012 9:41 pm (#43 Total: 221)

Stacy~ Glad you're home safe and sound!! There's just something about stretching out in your own bed after being away!

As for the girls' personalities....Taylor was my "wild" one and Ansley was "calm".....if Ansley is calm, I'd be in hanging from the ceiling with both of them. I know that they'd butt heads though because every u/s took forever b/c of Taylor starting something with her sister!

Lindsay~ I hope that your plants survive!

Okay---so after a loooonnnnngggg afternoon, I've found several (boring) articles that relate to my topic which will help me get started on my assignment for Monday. Now.....to type the paper........

Akeelah's Mommy - Jun 9, 2012 10:22 pm (#44 Total: 221)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Tracy- Ooooh how I do not miss graduate school! Good luck momma! I love how quickly those lil' ones show their huge personalities.

Stacy- Welcome home!! I hope by just typing that Elim was napping he didn't wake up. That seems to happen to Micah.

Lorena- That's such a busy week! I would never dream of correcting any of your English not only because it's awesome, but because my Spanish is no bueno!!

Lindsay- Seriously I really can't imagine what it feels like to walk around in 100 degree heat. Today is a warm one here... read 84.. and phew... I'm not movin' from the shade.

Lance is on call today so we're putzin' around the house... which means Lance and Micah are taking naps and I'm nesting. Tomorrow we're going to go to the 4H Agriculture Fair and then to a friend's pool where I will lounge.

Angel Love - Jun 10, 2012 1:36 am (#45 Total: 221)

Lauren~ Can you come and "nest" here??? I'm seriously the WORST housekeeper in the world!!

Enjoy the 4-H event! My nephew (the livestock showing boy) is involved with 4-H already so we're definately in trouble when he's actually "old enough" to participate full force!

lvazquez - Jun 10, 2012 3:06 pm (#46 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lorena - Yes, the highlighters were for my schedule:) Sounds like you've got a fun-filled weekend. Parties! I'm watching tennis right now - Roland-Garros stadium. Okay, I check out the legs on the men for sure, but even more, I love to see the views of Paris:)

Stacy - Glad to know that you are both safe and sound back home. Yay for long naps:)

Lauren - I don't know either girl! It's coming up on 17 years living in the desert. A pool is a must for sure. I just hate the maintenance. Sometimes it's nice just to have a lazy day:)

Liz - Where you at?

Hoping to fix this drip system thingy today. Returning books to the library when they open and probably, you guessed it, POOL TIME:)

Angel Love - Jun 10, 2012 8:12 pm (#47 Total: 221)

Rainy, rainy, rainy day for us!!! Thankfully we're not getting pounded like Florida and South Alabama, but that's definately where it's coming from.

VBS starts in 2 hours-----Am I done with my homework for tomorrow??? Why NOOOO......! Ugh--what's wrong with me??

Holy Cow.....I mention rain and now the sun pops through....I tell ya, God love to keep me giggling!!

NathansMom13 - Jun 11, 2012 1:21 am (#48 Total: 221)

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Ooohhhh, it happened. Trevor turned 2 today, and he can ever hold up two fingers (pointer finger from each hand) when I ask him how old he is... where did the last 2 years go?

Glad the sun came out Tracy! It's been rainy here the last few days, thankfully the weather was nice this weekend.

Lauren, they don't write on cars as much here but I also see grammatical errors frequently. A while ago in the news there was a story about a guy going around the country fixing the errors on public signs, but then he got arrested for "damaging public property" or something like that - I guess gov't officials don't like being shown their mistakes!

Stacy, so glad you made it home. It must be nice for both of you to get back into a routine. Glad Elim took a nice, long nap for ya.

OK, that's all I can remember. I'm off to bed early, it's been a long weekend of celebration.
