A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lindsay- We also try to stay in 'til 8... it's hard some days though!

Tracy- Wow, that's impressive! I wonder where she gets those awesome sleep skills from?

Jackie- Ooooh what kinda car ya lookin' at?

Stacy- Hope you guys are having fun!

Relaxing day over here... and then this week we take Akeelah's birthday vacation- I think it will be so much fun!

KHolley - Jun 24, 2012 3:06 pm (#144 Total: 221)

Lauren-I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Lindsay-You are right, they are always up early, at least in my neighborhood!

Tracy-I bet you are so happy to be almost done! Post pictures of the cake!!!!

We are hittin' the road tomorrow! I will check in as much as possible!

lvazquez - Jun 24, 2012 7:54 pm (#145 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Katie - Have a safe and wonderful trip!

Lauren - You take good care and have a relaxing time:)

Tracy - Hoping your stack of TO DO assignments is dwindling and you and Ansley are having a relaxing day.

Stacy - Hope everything is going well for you at your stay away.

I have been going through more piles of papers. I'm recycling and reminding myself to keep just (1) copy of the worksheets I discover. It's not that it's hard to make a quiz, it's just that when it's crunch time, you wish you had that one quiz on a half sheet ready to go. Anyways, I can see the carpet again in my bedroom:)

Angel Love - Jun 25, 2012 1:32 am (#146 Total: 221)

Aahhhhhhh.....!!!!

Party is over, most of school work is done and I'm EXHAUSTED!!!

I have no idea how many people were there, but a great number of my friends, Ansley's friends, and her dad's friends, along with family members were in attendance today to celebrate this sweet little girl's birthday. (Which might I mention is NOT even here yet!!)

The weather was beautiful and a quick rain shower and a few claps of thunder ended the party like it does every year!! I'll blog about it tomorrow----if I have a moment to breathe.

stacyat - Jun 25, 2012 2:44 am (#147 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

We had a blast! I went climbing a rock wall and swinging on a four story up swing while Elim played with one of the ladies assigned to him! We also went to the lake and played around, had a church service at a beautiful spot overlooking the lake, made s'mores and I went to a couple of breakout sessions with the pastor that was helping lead the retreat. SO much fun! I may go next year but as one of the people who watch the kids, and enlist my mom's help as well to watch Elim unless I'm stashing a basketball under my shirt......

That sounds like a great trip!!! Where do I sign up, and is Ansley too old for a lady to be assigned to her?

    Jackie G - Jun 25, 2012 12:29 pm (#149 Total: 221)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Stacy - that sounds like fun! It's so nice to make sure the families left behind when a parent is deployed don't get forgotten.

Tracy - Glad the party went well. Does that mean you have nap time available again?

Lauren - I want another Town and Country Minivan. I love the one I have now (8 years old) but I'd love a newer one now that they've made it even nicer. But we'll see what happens.

Lots to do today. I'm supposed to be cleaning but obviously, I'm not. Then I have a drs appt, errands, laundry, etc. At least the kids are at Grandma's so I'll get a lot done (if I can get off the computer!)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy - I'm glad to hear it was good time for you:)

Tracy - Sounds like Ansley and all of the guests had a blast!

Jackie - I keep watching the latest models and I could drool at some of the neat features they put in nowadays.

Once I get rid of all of these papers, we're going to do some paint touch ups in the bedroom. Happy Monday to everyone:)

    stacyat - Jun 25, 2012 5:32 pm (#151 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: Heck no she's not too old, they 13 and 15 year olds had someone assigned to them! They kids even do their own breakout sessions based on age!

Jackie: I should be cleaning too, I've got people coming over tomorrow night! But yeah, here I am catching up on share. Priorities, right?

Lindsay: Just touchup? Better than having to pain the whole room I guess but still, blah!

I'm so exhausted! After the long weekend and Elim not sleeping well again last night (stupid molars) I had to get up early to go drop my car off to get the hail damage fixed, hoping they throw in the door dings for not too much extra.

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy - That's so cool that all the kids were in breakout sessions and having a good time. Sounds like it was just what you needed:) Hoping your little man finds some relief for his teefers so you can get some rest too.

Yeah, just some touch ups to give it that fresh feel. There was a deal at Sherwin-Williams awhile ago and we stocked up on some flat paint. It's one of the items on our summer do list.

    Angel Love - Jun 25, 2012 6:21 pm (#153 Total: 221)

Stacy~ Shoot yeah!! Sign me up!!! That's great that they offer sessions for the kids. What a great way to get people involved!!

    Lindsay~ Fresh paint helps everything!

Jackie~ No nap yet, but soon......veeeerrrrry soon!

Today was the first of my last classes this week!! (Following me?) Most of my classmates were planning to go home and bust it to get assignments completed for tomorrow and the following day.....not me!! It's DONE!!!!!!!

So unlike me, but when I do get on the ball early, I feel so good about it!

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jun 25, 2012 6:47 pm (#154 Total: 221)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Tracy- Isn't that done feeling awesome! I can't wait until my to do list is all scratched off!

Stacy- That really sounds like fun. If I wasn't such a heathen I'd totally join a church- they've always got the coolest stuff going on!

Linsday- Oooooh nothing like a nice clean room.. touch ups and all.

Jackie- Lance would be so envious. He wants a mini van like there's no tomorrow!

Lorena- I think I'd have passed out in the dentists office! You and S are so brave!

Monday Monday... no whammies everyone for an awesome dr appointment today!

Jackie~ Shhh.....I took a nap today I really didn't mean to, but I'm soooo exhausted after the past few days!

    James~ I see you!

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lauren - No whammies . . . no whammies . . . I've had my eye on the Sienna for awhile now, but we're trying to avoid the purchase for awhile longer.

Tracy - I always feel better when I can get a jump on things:)

It's official. New speech therapist is happening next week and she's in our neighborhood:)

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jun 26, 2012 12:43 am (#157 Total: 221)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Thanks for all the no whammies ladies- alls well at today's appointment!

Tracy- I know... I'm a great drunk dial for folks... cause I know you're such a lush.. since at like 2am.. it's still early for us. Those are great calls.

Lindsay- Rock on for the new ST, I hope they're a good match.

Gotta pack, and you all know my drama with packing, for our birthday trip!

    Angel Love - Jun 26, 2012 3:00 am (#158 Total: 221)

Lauren~ Yay for great news!! Yeah....at least once a week if not more Ansley looks at her iPod touch and tells me what time it is for you! She loves some time zones!!

Lindsay~ Oh wow!! That's awesome! I hope that the new person does amazing things and is the best change.

Tomorrow is my little girls' birthday! (One hour from now!!) I can't believe how quickly time slips away.....

    Akeelah's Mommy - Jun 26, 2012 6:34 am (#159 Total: 221)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Tracy - and I can't believe you were still awake at 11:00! :Pbpt:
Happy Birthday to Ansley and Taylor! And congrats on getting your school work done too!

Lindsay - As pathetic as it is, I love painting a room a different color. Much harder to do with kids around though. I'm hoping to paint our downstairs bathroom this summer, but I don't know if it will happen.
Hope the new ST is what you are looking for!
And may I highly recommend the Chrysler Town and Country over the Sienna? Living in Detroit, I've learned so much about how important it is to buy American when our economy is struggling so much! (Ok, off my soapbox )

Lauren - Woohoo for a great appt! And I'll have to remember that drunk dial thing.

    lvazquez - Jun 26, 2012 4:43 pm (#161 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Tracy - Happy Birthday to your girls:)

Lauren - Yay for a great appointment!

Jackie - Yeah, it can be difficult to paint with kiddos around for sure. We've been able to paint with one away at summer camp for a few hours. We tape off at night:) What's the resale value on a Town and Country? I've only owned Toyotas and I like 'em cause they last. Speaking of Michigan, my dad is headed back to Farmington soon for his 50th high school reunion.

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Happy Birthday to Taylor and Ansley! Hope the day is filled with fun and love for both your girls!!!!

Lauren, hope you have a special time away with your family celebrating and remembering your girl!

I also love my Town & Country, I especially love that I can open both side doors and the back from my keys. Makes it easy to get both boys in the car in the rain!

    Jackie G - Jun 26, 2012 6:46 pm (#164 Total: 221)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Happy 4th birthday to Akeelah! (Just to make sure you see it!) Hope you have a wonderful week honoring her memory.

Lindsay - Resale is probably not as good as a Toyota because everyone has the mindset that Toyota is the best out there. However, the Big 3 have improved quality *immensely* and are almost neck and neck with them now. Besides the power doors, I also love the stow-n-go in my T&C. We're do it yourselfers and We can fit an 8 ft sheet of plywood in the back when the seats are down. The base Town and Country has many of the same options as the top levels of the Sienna (from what I understand). For example in 2012 all Town and Countries have leather and DVD standard. My kids are pysched about having a DVD player in the car!

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Jackie - Oooh, the Town and Country sounds dreamy:) Okay, okay, if/when we get to the point of being able to purchase another vehicle, I promise to take a looksy:)

    Arnara - Jun 26, 2012 10:57 pm (#166 Total: 221)

I can't seem to remember much these days, my brain is over exhausted, I keep dreaming of those work papers, and I just arrive home exhausted..... almost dragging my briefcase.....

mmm..... seems like Laura & Jackie are doing free publicity for Chrysler, I hope you girls get pay for that, or at least a little card for Mother's day......wow Jackie how many cylinders and horsepower does this mini van has??? my kids are also crazy for the DVD and I love my hands free Parrot of my car.......

Tracy: Happy Birthday for Taylor and Ansley, glad to hear that Ansley had a great Bday party......well done girl, you are almost over with school.....

Lauren; Happy Happy Heaven Birthday for Akaleah.... I truly hope you are enjoying your family mini vacation, hugs to you.... and I am keeping my eyes for you here... 34 weeks now ugh? I had to laugh about the drunk calls, and remembered an embarrassing moment years ago..... I had little over cups and I called my best friend...... in Canada!

    Liz: How are you doing??

    Donna: Where are you??

Katie: hope you are enjoying your trip......

Lindsay: Glad to hear you found a good ST for Mr. T, how is summer camp going??? mmm... painting my house is not in my vacation/summer list, I prefer to do that when kids are in school.....

Stacy: so glad to hear you and Mr. Elim had a great time at that religious event, and you are back safe and sound. Hope Elim is feeling much better with his molars..... what are your plans for the summer????

work is little over, and I have not seen any pay check..... ..... I know I was going to be pay little, but at least I was hoping to work for something.....

My kids are on their 2 weeks vacation time, not much done here, just that we have been playing that wii resort game, the 4 of us, is so funny to watch miss V, she just grab the remote control even if it is not working and she swears she is doing the things, and she laughs so hard.... so funny.....it has been impossible to go to the movies, seems like everyone is on vacation..... I hope to take miss V to the zoo if there is a nice weather......

    Happy Tuesday everyone....

    Lorena

    Arnara - Jun 26, 2012 11:18 pm (#167 Total: 221)

Lauren: sorry for the misspelling... I mean Akeelah.... so sorry....

I forgot to comment I read an article in The New York's Time, this Sunday. The title was "Would you give drugs to your kids? " so it got my eye..... my hair stand up, and I have now several doubts and questions on my mind..... it states that ADHD medicines, are category 2 of drugs, in the same groups as morphine and cocaine, an as addictive, and the study talked about how much "prescribe drugs" are in school these days, and even some kids that don't need them are receiving them..... an some kids are using them intentionally to get better grades to enter a college..... not a good reading it seems.....

    lvazquez - Jun 26, 2012 11:40 pm (#168 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Lorena - I'm sorry for the dragging briefcase and hoping that the paycheck arrives soon. Hey, every little bit helps. I didn't see that article, but I had heard of high school/college students taking ADHD meds to stay awake in order to study. Sounds like some fun family time playing the Wii. Hope you get some decent weather your way to take Miss V to the Zoo:)

Some folks sure are passionate about their vehicles. I just need something that will take me from A to B. That's about as far as I'm traveling right now. However, I do dream often of that new car smell . . . aaaahhhh . . . Summer camp is going well. Mr. T is learning more songs and is happy to go:) That definitely makes it easier to drop him off in the morning. They are doing different countries each week in prep for the Olympics and right now it's Deutschland:) Too cute!

    Angel Love - Jun 27, 2012 2:05 am (#169 Total: 221)

Lorena~ Sounds like you've had a wild week too! There are people who abuse meds just like there are people who abuse other things. As long as you're doing what you're suppose to with the meds and as perscribed then no worries!!

My day has been full of birthday fun for my girl!!! I'll have to blog about it later, but it was a great day! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes for both girls! I know there was fun in Heaven today too!!

Tomorrow will be a huge continuation in Heaven as Akeelah celebrates her big day!

    stacyat - Jun 27, 2012 3:39 am (#170 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: I've actually been considering if it'd be possible to do one for angel mommas or something. Not sure how it'd work, but just an idea. Happy birthday wishes to Taylor and Ansley and big hugs to you!

Lauren: HA! I was a heathen till I started going again in December.

Lorena: I've got my high school reunion this weekend, after that not much plans till August when I'm going on a road trip! Aww, lil kiddos are so cute when they try to play video games!

Today started not so great, no hot water but I figured out how to get it started back up so I got a hot shower in the afternoon! Had the girls over for ladies night and had salsa chicken and lemon icebox cake, yum!! Elim actually let me sleep in this morning so I'm finally caught back on sleep from this past month, woohoo!

    lvazquez - Jun 27, 2012 5:22 pm (#171 Total: 221)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

OMG, we have a plumber over right now checking our pipes and stuff and he just as the dreaded question, "How many kids do you guys have?" My heart just stopped for a second and heard hubby quickly say, "Two." The plumber just said, " We have three." Such a normal question, but forever hard to answer.

    stacyat - Jun 27, 2012 6:35 pm (#172 Total: 221)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Ugh, big hugs to you Lindsay! Always so hard when they ask such simple questions to most everyone else and it's so complicated for us.

Tracy: Hugs to you today, keeping you and your sweet Taylor close in my thoughts and prayers.

Lauren: Huge hugs and Happy Birthday wishes to Akeelah up in Heaven! I hope that you're enjoying your birthday trip <3
