Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!! |
|
|
Katie, I can't believe 98 degrees is going to be at that concert and I can't go! Ugh... I miss all the good concerts.
Sorry, I am completley distracted by missing out on 98 degrees and can't remember anything anyone else said.
Nathan just asked me if I'm having a bad day... it's 98 and we have no a/c, I've worked nights the last 2 nights in a row (that means I've gotten about 6 hours of sleep total over the last two days) and I have to work again tonight... he's pretty observant. But I did tell him Mommy would try to take a nap and then have a better day, we're all now in our rooms napping.

Stacy: Poor dear Elim, hope he had a good night..... that parent retirement sounds great, but I am not so sure about leaving kids over night.... it is good to listen that you are doing fine.....
Tracy: Wow! you impressed me already done with all that....
Lauren: ugh! I can't stand puke, glad your hubby was there to clean up the mess
Jackie; Glad to see you here, so sorry to read all the things broken in your house, when it rains it pours doesn't it..... tell me about it, I can't find someone to come fix my stove, the one that came said he will be back and I had been waiting for him for months......
Katie: Glad Alex is enjoying her summer camp....
Laura; hope your shifts change soon, so sweet of Nathan and Trevor to nap with you.....
Lindsay: great picture! So glad you had a great time spending so little, that is smart.... Hopefully we hit the movies tonight for Madagascar 3, I must confess I am not huge fan of cartoons.....
Liz; well you should enjoy the nice weather.....
So regular 6 months visit to the dentist with the kids was awful.... S had a molar that from some days now I had seen it had a different color, so I asked to move the appointment for this week, yep he had broken it, don't ask me how, a big piece of it, so Dr. said that he could not do anything with it, and since it was already little loose it was best to take it off... I almost fainted there, I am so scare of dentist..... S started crying, Dr. cheered him up, he said it was a piece of cake, so I grab his hand and he put some pain reliever, and took it off.....ugh! awful! after that S was laughing and saying it was easy... I need a glass of vine right there, then it was miss V turn..... she had some molars sealed.... and dentist assistant must have had day off or something since I was there helping the dentist.... And I felt like I was in the torture chamber......
Happy Thursday....

Lorena-I am so sorry for the horrible dentist visit. Glad it's over!
Laura-I am still sad you can't go, my heart is broken!
Tracy-I am busy down at the beach with Alex's camp. It is a 30 minute drive, so I have to spend the day down there. I know...tough life!

Oh Katie....I'm feeling sorry for you..... Really, I would be feeling sorry for you if you're like me and have 100 other things to do. Lorena~ Ugh!! Sorry for the dentist visit! Yuck on having issues with S.'s teeth, but I'm glad he thought it was easy and the dentist was able to put him at ease. Laura~ No A/C??? Want me to ship you one?? I had to do that with some friends who moved from GA to Ohio a few years back. They couldn't find one anywhere so we shipped one from down south cause you KNOW we have A/C!!!! Okay---4 things marked off my list of homework to-dos and only 3 big things to do.

Tracy - So awesome that you are movin' and groovin' on your assignments. More time to PLAY:)
Lorena - I've definitely seen more cartoon/animated movies as an adult than I ever did as a kid. I think you'll like Madagascar 3 though:) Sorry about the molars and dental stuff. I hope they gave you extra candies for helping out. I would need a drink after all of that too:)
Katie - I bet you are having such a good time down there:)
Laura - Sorry for the no A/C. Hoping that you are finding ways to stay cool.
Therapies . . . OT and PT are working out, ST is a different story. I had hubby sit in on this last session and I vacated with D. Long story short, we're on the hunt for a new provider and may have found one who can do early Saturday mornings. We're early risers, so that will work. With full-day Kinder, I think weekly 2-hour hab is going to be enough and maybe pushing it at that.

Lorena - Matt had a tooth pulled about a year ago. It was MUCH harder on me than it was on him. In fact the next visit he asked if he could get another one pulled so the toothfairy would come again. Tracy - In the grand scheme of things, this is a blip on the radar. You'll get it all done and show Ansley how hard you work! Katie - So jealous.... Laura - Having no A/C stinks! Hope you can get it fixed soon. Having a decent day today. Kids haven't been fighting as much which is good. My nephew's birthday party is later today so they are excited about that. I just wish I could take a nap beforehand!

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)! |
|
|
Tracy: Yep, I'd much rather them come in all at once for him than one at a time, less time that he's in pain that way.
Lorena: Oh, they'll be in the room with us, just someone is supposed to come around to get them back to sleep if they wake up. But yeah, I never slept even when Charles was trying to get him back down so might as well do it myself. Ugh, bummer on the involved dental appointment, glad that S thought it wasn't so bad!
Liz: Wishing you some cooler weather!
Lindsay: Ugh on the ST not really working out, I'm sure it's hard to find a good provider! If you lived in Oklahoma I could give you a really good recommendation, my cousin does it and LOVES what she does so I'm sure she's amazing!
Jackie: Ugh, wish I could've had a nap here too, but no dice!
Poor bubba is just gnawing away at his hands even with motrin in his system. I hope they poke all the way through soon! We're all packed up and ready to go! I'm still debating when we're gonna leave. It's an hour and a half drive to where I'm planning on stopping for dinner, problem is it's about another 45 minutes to hour past that to camp and we gotta be there about 6:30. 5:30 is a really early dinner for us and we'll be starving by bedtime! Good thing I've got granola bars packed....

Stacy~ On the road again..... Good luck on the timing issue. It's always a game when you're on the road with little ones. Lindsay~ Early risers??? Definately not an adjective to describe us. We enjoy our sleep!! Today Ansley slept in until 11:35!! And I let her!!! Jackie~ Yay for kids not fighting so much. That always makes a difference! Today, I felt like I'd knocked out several items on the homework list so I took Ansley swimming for a couple of hours this afternoon. Um....never make a deal with a 9 year old about swimming and getting out the first time.....it never works! Anyway, we're back home in the A/C now with showers all done! Now back to work!

Tracy - Sometimes kiddos just need their zzz's. D sleeps in another half hour or so on summer break. He'd probably sleep longer if his younger bro wasn't up. Coffee pot is still programmed for 5:30 a.m. The coffee is for us, not T:)
Yay you for just two more courses!
Jackie - Hope you guys have a nice time at the party! Lots of parties happening in your neighborhood. My kids haven't lost any or had any teeth pulled yet. I have a feeling the pulling might be coming at the next visit in July:(
Stacy - Drive safe and have a great time! Yeah, I've left out the reason(s) for our new search for a new ST provider. I'm hoping I've found a good replacement. She's close by and can do in-home.
Hey, gas prices are coming down! Thank goodness!

Tracy - 11:35?!? Are you kidding?!? Matt's been getting up at 7:15. Stacy - Good luck with the trip! Lindsay - You are off for the summer right? Why are you getting up at 5:30 - That's crazy! We are trying to work out a way to get me a new car (ok a new used car or a new lease) and I feel like everytime we get close, it slips away. So frustrating. I'm trying not to get too excited but now that we are really considering doing it, I'm anxious!

Liz - Thanks for the heads up:)
The kids are ready for the pool, but I'm trying to hold off until 9 a.m. for the neighbors' sake. Ah, they're mostly retired anyway and probably up at 4 a.m. I shouldn't worry.

Lindsay~ LOL!!! You're so right....retirees like to get up early don't they!? My neighbors are retirees and they enjoying cutting their grass bright and early. Usually it's only once every now and again, but since it's so hot, they're doing it in sections and it's been several days! Picked up Ansley's cake today....super cute!! Only one more paper to complete and a few tweaks until I'm done with school assignments!! Whoop! Whoop!! .....and the house.......a ton of work lies ahead of me with that, but hey---it'll get done!

Lauren - You take good care and have a relaxing time:)
Tracy - Hoping your stack of TO DO assignments is dwindling and you and Ansley are having a relaxing day.
Stacy - Hope everything is going well for you at your stay away.
I have been going through more piles of papers. I'm recycling and reminding myself to keep just (1) copy of the worksheets I discover. It's not that it's hard to make a quiz, it's just that when it's crunch time, you wish you had that one quiz on a half sheet ready to go. Anyways, I can see the carpet again in my bedroom:)

Aahhhhhhh.....!!!! Party is over, most of school work is done and I'm EXHAUSTED!!! I have no idea how many people were there, but a great number of my friends, Ansley's friends, and her dad's friends, along with family members were in attendance today to celebrate this sweet little girl's birthday. (Which might I mention is NOT even here yet!!) The weather was beautiful and a quick rain shower and a few claps of thunder ended the party like it does every year!! I'll blog about it tomorrow----if I have a moment to breathe.

We had a blast! I went climbing a rock wall and swinging on a four story up swing while Elim played with one of the ladies assigned to him! We also went to the lake and played around, had a church service at a beautiful spot overlooking the lake, made s'mores and I went to a couple of breakout sessions with the pastor that was helping lead the retreat. SO much fun! I may go next year but as one of the people who watch the kids, and enlist my mom's help as well to watch Elim unless I'm stashing a basketball under my shirt......

Stacy - that sounds like fun! It's so nice to make sure the families left behind when a parent is deployed don't get forgotten. Tracy - Glad the party went well. Does that mean you have nap time available again? Lauren - I want another Town and Country Minivan. I love the one I have now (8 years old) but I'd love a newer one now that they've made it even nicer. But we'll see what happens. Lots to do today. I'm supposed to be cleaning but obviously, I'm not. Then I have a drs appt, errands, laundry, etc. At least the kids are at Grandma's so I'll get a lot done (if I can get off the computer!)

Lindsay: Just touchup? Better than having to pain the whole room I guess but still, blah!
I'm so exhausted! After the long weekend and Elim not sleeping well again last night (stupid molars) I had to get up early to go drop my car off to get the hail damage fixed, hoping they throw in the door dings for not too much extra.
