Madisons mom - Mar 13, 2012 2:12 am (#100 Total: 253)

proud to be the mom of this little fighter

ok I"m so mad right now!!! How in the heck can he pick Courtney? Cannot stand her. Shes a crazy girl. Any minute she'll pull a rabbit out of a pot like the nut she is....he'll see his misake.

Katie you must be shot. Talking to 60 kids gotta be draining.

Donna your kids are awesome with all their sports. Wish I could get Maddie involved.

Tracy how is Ansley doing with tennis?

Lorena - hug girlie...hate when moms give you that look as if an accident never ever happened to their kids...cant stand the judgement.

BecauseofAlaina - Mar 13, 2012 2:46 am (#101 Total: 253)

mom to Emily (36 weeker)- 8 yo, Alaina (33 weeker)- 5 yo, Matthew (37 weeker)- 3 yo

Hey all,
Been gone way to long, note to self.... don't do that

Stacy--Poor Elim, hope he feels better soon

Lauren, Yay for Micah.. Wish Matthew would try the potty. We ask him and he says NO with straightest face.

Well all crazy weekend. I worked all day Saturday and then we had a Sweet 16 dinner that night. Sunday Emily had a cheer competition. They came in 4th out of 7. I felt bad for them, they were sad. I am proud of them but part of me feels bad also because some of the other teams brought kids down to Emilys level from higher teams which shouldnt be done. But what can you do.
Matthew got pink eye yesterday and today started ith a fever. Gotta love it. Never a dull moment. Emily had parent teacher conferences tonight. She did well but they said she does talk, oh well I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...lol

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: Aww, he cannot possibly be old enough to be potty training already!! Remember telling me that if I taught Elim the sign for milk what he'd look like he's doing? Yep....totally walking around milking a cow all day. Has me all paranoid my milk has dried up he's asking for it so often!

Katie: Wow!! That's a ton of kids in one day!!

Shannon: Yep, that pretty much explains it. When the nurse called all I could say is that I'm just frustrated, he's been sick on and off for so long. Good for you! I hope they contribute something. Oooh, that sounds fun! What do you do at a community garden? Is it flowers or food? I remember you love flowers!

Tracy: Yup, I'm watching, we've been recording it and watching it at ladies night on Tuesday. She is one crazy lady!

Lorena: I don't think it's the medicine, I just think he's one of those kids that the medicine doesn't work for! It's only his right ear too, his left has been fine through all these infections. I'll be asking for a referral to the ENT when I see her on Wednesday. Sounds like S is on his studying, way to go! Elim's constantly getting bruises now too with him toddling all over.

Thanks to all of you, I've been asked to speak at the first team captain workshop! They're going to play my video and also want me to talk about all the fundraising ideas I've got, which has mostly come from everyone at SU!

stacyat - Mar 13, 2012 2:53 am (#103 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Geri: Ugh! That's not fair at all! Lol on the talking bit.

liz loschinskey - Mar 13, 2012 12:56 pm (#104 Total: 253)

I love my kids!

Holy hamburgers!!! How do I get so backed up?

Lindsay, glad to hear on the inhome.
Katie-yikes on 60 kids!
Stacy-Awesome on the M4B talk!
Lorena-Tell those staring mother's to mind their own!
Donna, I'd be one proud Mamma!!! Go Ryley!
Geri-Yuck on the pink eye and you always have next year for Cheer!
Shannon, sorry your card party was a bust, I know how hard you worked. As for slapping the lady, I was taught to respect my elders, so I walked away. Even tho, I was really wanting to pick up the credit card machine and throw it at her head. And I would hate to have to explain that to Tori...-still mumbling profanities about that woman-

Mike had Tori all day yesterday....I actually went shopping yesterday and WAS ABLE to try on clothes and not just buy them and hope that they fit. With that, the jeans I bought...a)were a size smaller than normal and b) I swear they lifted...they did something to make my butt somewhat normal. I got them on sale 20 bucks at Marshall's. CalvinKlein...I'm tickled. At Kohl's, while looking at bra's, I see a pair of slimming underwear that had butt pads in them to make your A#s appear bigger. Last but not least, looking at bathing suits....Look, I would not be caught dead in a bikini, let alone a size 18 and up in a bikini. I may sound rude or judgemental but I'm trying to protect the brave soul who bears the bikini so she gets no kackle's.

Saturday...Pittsburgh's famous St.Patty's day parade in the AM, new casino in the afternoon, then party at night. Perfecto birthday!

bbl....

Donna S - Mar 13, 2012 11:25 pm (#105 Total: 253)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Ugh Geri Really? Pink eye stinks. And boo on teams bringing down higher girls to compete with this level. So frustrating.

Stacy - Go you on speaking!!! That's awesome.

Liz - Sounds like a fab shopping trip. I went with a friend Sunday, then by myself today to prepare for New Orleans. I actually tried stuff on, which I never do. Have fun this weekend!!

Jessica - I didn't watch Bachelor at all, but had heard all the drama over Courtney and then read the re-cap in the news this morning. Almost barfed reading that. She needs to be slapped. Men are idiots (except our husbands and James of course).

Lorena - Aren't perfect parents intimidating? As if their kids have never had a bruise. And you should be proud of your babies - smart kiddos there!

I can't believe we leave the day after tomorrow. I still have two loads of laundry to do, a birthday gift to buy for a party the boys are going to while we're gone, need to done some fly-by cleaning because my MIL will be staying here with the kids, need to make a run to Ulta for shampoo and make-up, and then pack. And we leave at 0-dark-30 on Thursday. YIKES!! Did I mention E has therapy and I have physical therapy tomorrow?

Arnara - Mar 14, 2012 12:47 am (#106 Total: 253)

Donna: I must have missed something......where are you going??? I envy you with all my heart...... I wish I can run away from my home ALONE..... I am bored to study.......... Yes when it is raising someone else's kid all parents are perfect.........seems like you have a very long day tomorrow.....good luck with all that.......

Liz: yes for shopping........ that is my favorite sport..... about the bikini, my DH insist that I buy one but I think I will never use one again in my life...... for the nice underwear, they do not look nice in big sizes..... so I never usually shop, I stay with the cotton simple ones.......once I enter a nice sleep wear store, I came out frustrated.....

Stacy: hope this Wednesday you have a nice Dr. appointment..... I have not heard that movie you watched..... we usually stuck with scary movies, since my DH likes action or silly ones, and I like romantics, so the only choice we agree on are scary ones, we want to see underworld.......

Geri: sorry about the cheerleader contest...........

Last night I was passing the channels on tv, nothing good, until I found Steel Magnolias, almost finishing, I saw it several years ago, but it really struck me the scene in which Sally Field is in the cementery after burying her daughter..... I *saw* it with different eyes and made me cry so bad because now I know how she felt in that moment...... really nobody knows until you have live it through......

Well I continue studying...... at least I made reservations for a hotel/family park for this WE....... I think we all need it...... miss V made a happy funny dance when she saw the brochure of pools and ran to look for her swimming suit......that girl is so funny, she truly is my rainbow baby.....

happy Tuesday

Lorena

liz loschinskey - Mar 14, 2012 12:59 pm (#107 Total: 253)

I love my kids!

Oh Lorena...I can't watch Steel Magnolia's because I cry the whole ENTIRE time.

Sally Field did a great job in that movie.

Hi temps...75 today.

Miss T was up 4.17-5.09 this morning SCREAMING due to nixing her bottle. (bottle of water before bed) Don't you know, when I gave her a sippy cup witha rubery type mouth piece, she went right back to bed.

9.30 OT, 11 developmental....

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

I'm headed on a road trip, but just wanted to pop in. I just had to say that there is a list of movies one should never watch when preggers and Steel Magnolias is one of them. I saw that in February '09 when I was preggo with Naethyn, waiting for my floor to dry after mopping. Should have never been mopping a floor at 26 weeks, but, urgh . . .

Donna S - Mar 14, 2012 2:47 pm (#109 Total: 253)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Steel Magnolias? Cry the entire movie.

Liz - Enjoy the weather today!!!

Lorena - Michael and I are going to New Orleans for a few days. Outside of Vegas, this is our first big trip away just us in six years. Too long. Hope your weekend is awesome - you need a break! Good luck with studying.

Lindsay - Safe travels!

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Liz: Woohoo for some quality shopping time and being able to try stuff on!

Donna: Eeek!! That sounds like you're gonna have a super busy couple of days!

Lorena: Sounds like a fun weekend planned! I haven't seen Steel Magnolias myself, might have to check it out!

Lindsay: Safe travels!

Poor bubba's ear is still infected so we're doing three days of Rocephin injections and she's referring us to an ENT probably for tubes, not sure about his adenoid. Hopefully the shot gets rid of this stubborn infection. Ugh.

All packed and ready to go!!! Not looking forward to waking up at 3:30am, but sooooooo looking forward to this trip.

mrsmaxson - Mar 15, 2012 10:09 am (#112 Total: 253)

Heartbroken

I'd chat but I have to go to Kohl's because my butt's not big enough and I need a padder!

I will be laughing about that all day!

Bahahah Shannon...I didn't understand. It had a tummy slimmer on the front and padding in the form of butt cheeks on the back. Can't make this stuff up!

Donna have so much fun! Thinking about you in New Orleans!!

Stacy poor kid. Sorry about Elim!

Lauren Beach pictures....jealous!

Lindsay & Donna- Enjoy your trips!

Stacy- Maaaaan thank goodness his momma is a nurse! Glad they gave you the referral to the ENT

Shannon- No idea what that all means, but love that you'll be laughing!

Off to Oahu today... last appointment... hollywood glasses... check!

Donna: Hope you're enjoying your trip!

Shannon: I think we should get some of those and do a fashion show Saturday night at SU this year, lol!

Lauren: I know, right?! Poor baby. Huge hugs, thinking of you!

Elim was less than impressed with getting his shot again today. He knew exactly what was coming when we laid him down on the table and he saw the needle. He ripped that bandaid right off though, little stink. She checked his ear and said it was still a bit red but better than yesterday, so he definitely did need the second dose. The third is iffy but since we're going on a trip she's giving it to make sure.

Just an FYI.....

Tori's been off the bottle completely for 4 complete days now.

I want to cry and possibly shoot myself in the foot with a BB gun.

Love ya guys....bbl!

Tomorrow's my birthday...hehehahahah!!!!!

lvazquez - Mar 17, 2012 12:53 am (#120 Total: 253)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Shannon: Oh, Kohls, I brought my 20% off with me on vaca so that hubby could score some socks. Hope you scored some good deals. Did you take advantage of power hours?

Liz: Oh, those moments are hard. She's growing up Liz. They sort of do that and it's like, what just happened?!

Donna: Have a safe flight and visit that cafe place that Katie had mentioned:)

Stacy: Hope your little one keeps his bandaids on. Ouch!

Lauren: Of all the times your person could get sick. I'm SO sorry. I know it's not how you wanted that last visit to be. I'm thinking of you:)

Hey, isn't it dumb that it's not quite Spring and yet we're on "Spring Break" in my state? We're in San Diego for a few days. Supposed to get rain here tomorrow. I laugh because it's not really a vaca. Same ole stuff, just different setting:)

stacyat - Mar 17, 2012 2:24 am (#121 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Liz: Woohoo, go Tori go!!! Shh, we won't tell anyone.

Lindsay: Power hours? It's spring break next week here too! Good thing our travel plans include going the opposite way that most spring breakers plan on going, north.

Guh, Elim has a fever still. Hoping it's gone tomorrow, that means it was from the stress on his body from the antibiotics like the nurse said. I'm not buying it. If he's still got it tomorrow I'm gonna take a peek at his ears. Not much we can do anyway though, if 3 days of antibiotic shots don't work then nothing will.

Angel Love - Mar 17, 2012 10:21 pm (#122 Total: 253)

Hey ya'll!!! I'm still among the living!! This time change thing did a number on my poor defenseless body and I have been working my tail off (might need some of those panties) so most of the days I've ended up going straight to bed.

Stacy~ Hope Elim is feeling better. Like I said earlier, my nephew had tubes put in and they worked beautiful wonders for him.

Lorena~ I hope the studying is over and you can get a break!!

Lindsay~ Enjoy the trip!

Donna~ Enjoy your trip as well!!! Can I say one more time....I'm JEALOUS!!!

Lauren~ Hope the appt went well. I'm sure it was emotional, but I hope there are great things ahead with the new best friend.

I hope I didn't miss anyone, but I only had a million posts to read....

Today was opening day for Little League here. Ansley had tennis at 10 a.m., my younger nephew played his first t-ball game at 12:30, and my older nephew's game was at 3:00. In between I went from one field to the other watching bits and pieces of the other games in an effort for my students to know that I was watching them. I'll be there many many more nights till the end of the season, but today was the day I was making a point to catch them.

Our temps were in the 80's today, which even for GA is a bit warm for March. I'm sure there are a lot of little red arms, legs, and faces from todays fun.....including mine!!

liz loschinskey - Mar 18, 2012 6:14 pm (#123 Total: 253)

I love my kids!

hi.

I just got teary eyed over a M4B commercial on tv.

Lindsay, how's your trip going?
Donna, I've been following you on FB in NOLA I'm glad you had a fantastic time.

I drank beer yesterday....I hate beer....now I remember why. I have the bubble guts so bad today and I feel sluggish. T spent the night at her Aunt's, they dropped her off this morning after church. She cried for about 30 minutes...tantrum like crying laying on the floor kicking and screaming and has since been sleeping for 2 hours. With no lunch.

bbl...

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Tracy- You are one busy auntie, momma and teacher!

Liz- Yeah... those tantrums wear a kiddo out!

I think this week is going to be chill... at least I hope it is so I can party around here more often! Garage sale was a huge success yesterday.. over $560 buckaroos raised... today we're gonna go meet my friend's new lil' baby and maybe get some laundry done... exciting times... exciting times.

Akeelah's Mommy - Mar 18, 2012 11:33 pm (#125 Total: 253)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Almost forgot... while I didn't get to see my Dr on Oahu... I did see Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife... they were on my flight back home. Lame consolation!

Lauren - Wow, that's interesting:) Does he still have a show? Congrats on the garage sale! That's wonderful!

Tracy - Sounds like some nice weather in your area:)

We made it back safely. There was some unexpected snow outside of Julian outside of San Diego. We drove slowly for a good hour and then it was smooth sailing once out of the mountains. Just missed the rain coming back too. Tired.

Angel Love - Mar 18, 2012 11:55 pm (#127 Total: 253)

Lindsay~ Wow---snow......I remember that stuff!

Lauren~ Thankfully all of the ball fields are at the same location. I did talk to the head of parks and rec. and asked if he would build me a platform on top of the central building so I could just turn my head instead of having to walk around in circles all day . It'll just be for teachers and parents who have multiple children playing at the same time!!

He said he'd get right on that for me.....he was head of parks and rec when I was a kid too so I'm sure he's not too worried about me. Teehee!!!

My house is a TOTAL WRECK!!!! Seriously, I don't even know where to start and it's going to take a lot to make a dent. UGH!!!! Anyone wanna come help???

Jackie G - Mar 19, 2012 1:20 am (#128 Total: 253)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Lindsay - How funny that you post a picture of snow and here in Michigan, where it is usually freezing this time of year, it was 80 degrees!

Tracy - I had the most hectic week ever this past week (ok, I'm exaggerating, but it felt like it) and my house was destroyed. Thankfully, everyone helped me on Saturday morning and we got it cleaned up fairly quickly.

Liz - beer does not sit well in my stomach either. But I'm off to have a glass of wine now! Hope Tori is doing ok without the bottle today.

Stacy - Poor Elim.

Hope the trip was fun, Donna!

So things have been busy here. Brian was out of the country last week, work was busy and I volunteered to help organize an event at school Friday night. Things kept getting added last minute and I was going crazy!

At least Brian is home now and things have slowed down, so it was a great weekend. The kids are both starting T-ball so like will get crazy adding that to our schedules - Kimmie has practices 3 days a week! That seems a bit excessive to me...

Anyway, I can actually go to bed early, so I'm off to do just that!
Miss you all - Hugs!

stacyat - Mar 19, 2012 4:03 am (#129 Total: 253)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Tracy: Wow, busy day! No wonder you've been heading straight to bed and that was your day "off"!

Lauren: Woohoo Dog! Does he dress like he does on the TV show all the time? Awesome success on the garage sale!!

Lindsay: Welcome back! Yay for getting to see pretty snow but not having it affect your drive for too long!

Jackie: Wow, that does sound like a lot for her age! Maybe they're figuring on not everyone showing up at every practice so doing multiple? Hope you have a nice relaxing week.

My open house was a flop, we had three people show up.....three. I did have a three other people order, but still. Highly disappointing my friends can't take a few minutes out of their day to come support me. All they had to do was show up and could get away with buying a $1 citrus peeler from pampered chef, not like I was expecting them to spend big bucks.

Day seventeen of fever for Elim with no signs of an end. Ten days till his ENT appointment.

We head out in the morning for Illinois! Going to my Grandma's house one last time before it's sold and visiting the Grandparents' graves too. Also gonna check out the zoo if it's nice and a few other things.....gotta drive for that one cuz there's nothing in Grandma's town!
