Donna S - Feb 10, 2012 4:53 pm (#96 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Lauren - For us it was Counting Kisses and all the Bear books (Bear Snores on, Bear Feels Sick, etc). Pretty sure I can still remember every word of those.

Liz - Glad the eval went well. Even more glad they're fighting to keep her in services even though she "didn't qualify". And I'm envious too of going back to school. Go you!

Lindsay - Things happen for a reason. Hard to see when we're in it, but hang in there. Hope it all works out!

Ethan got two awards at school this morning - a math target and a language arts target. He's so proud of himself!! Lunch with the school moms today. Mmmmmm....sushi!

esgf - Feb 10, 2012 5:35 pm (#97 Total: 319)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Lindsay- I hope you find what you are looking for soon.

Liz- I am glad the eval went well and I hope your trip goes better than you expect. Wow, and what a start to class. What class are you taking?

Lauren- I hope you like the new OB. Seriously can't believe Micah is two. How time flies.

Even though mine has outgrown the toddler stage, I am still on trash novels like Patterson, Evanovich etc, what does that say about me? Oh well, I make it through them about three pages at a time before I fall asleep.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. DH is writing report cards and it is supposed to snow so maybe I will hit a museum? Either that or Abigail and I will settle in for our hundredth viewing of the Sound of Music. Stay warm

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Sheeeeesh, is my singing really that bad?!

Ellen- I read 'em before kids and I plan on continuing to read 'em! They are excellent beach books.

Liz- Yeah, whatcha taking? Glad the eval went well, hope you get to keep your fav peeps.

Lindsay- Man, that rule about having the same teacher two years really sticks it to kids!! That's rough! I hope you find a position that fits you well for next year.

Grumble, waiting on insurance to approve the transfer of care before the schedule the appt.... grumph.

Angel Love - Feb 11, 2012 1:37 am (#100 Total: 319)

Liz~ Wait! Wait! Wait!!! Nobody said that the men in my yard were "hotties".....in fact FAR from it! That was the bad part that I forgot to mention!

Jess~ Love the game, but Katie wasn't teaching today and already beat me to it!

Donna~ Yay for E!!! Those little awards are super special! We give "Bulldog Bones" for good behavior/good character. Ansley's name was drawn for a prize for having perfect attendance for the month of January. She was super excited about that, but then used her prize (money for any snack from the vending machine) to buy her teacher something for her birthday instead of herself a snack. Our principal wrote her a "bulldog bone" and made the announcement over the intercom. She was super excited!!!---and so was her momma!!

Lindsay~ Is the job position ending now or at the end of the year?? I think that those students should be given a deal since it's not their fault that they're cutting your position. Ugh---hopefully there'll be something else great that comes along. I dreaded this move, but afterwards, I'm so glad that I had to move!!

Okay---seriously, it's 8:30 and I'm struggling to stay awake.....say I'm old if you want, but this chick is going to bed!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 11, 2012 2:09 am (#101 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Donna- Congrats to E!

And Tracy, sleep away! 8:30 sounds late to me!

Thinking of Kyle and sending lots of hugs and prayers

WTG. Ethan!

Ok, I can't keep up like the old days. Y'all youngens are too good for me.

KHolley - Feb 11, 2012 12:43 pm (#103 Total: 319)

Tracy-Girl you know I don't teach! According to the rest of the teachers at my school, they are pretty sure I just sit around all day. Never mind that I made all of their parent phone calls for them!

Lauren-You're singing is beautiful!

Lindsay-Boo on the position. Will they have a place for you next year?

Liz-Yay for keeping all of Tori's therapists!

Donna-Ethan is one amazing kiddo!

Jac-Just have a Pham Cham and hop right in! That should get you going!!!!!

Off to karate, nothing like getting up at 6 to sit in a cold karate studio. Guess I will make sure I have a goo book on my phone to read!

Angel Love - Feb 11, 2012 2:24 pm (#104 Total: 319)

Katie~ 6????? Who kicks and chops people that early???? I think you need to enroll her in a different program who meets later in the day.

Jac~ It's no different than before, just different faces! No worries....just jump in!

Lauren~ It's all good with the early bedtimes until your little one (or not so little one) wakes you up earlier than needed. Mine did just that and the first words out of her mouth was starting an argument.... Maybe that's why I'm so tired all the time....

stacyat - Feb 11, 2012 2:32 pm (#105 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

It's birthday party day!!!!! After this I think I could sleep for a week, but tomorrow is church and affair of the heart (think monster sized craft show, like taking over the fair grounds). I should be around more next week, I've had so much to do I haven't had time to even skim through! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

lvazquez - Feb 11, 2012 3:16 pm (#106 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy: Happy Birthday party to your little one! I'm sure it's going to be fabulous! You've been planning for months and your ideas and multi-colored cake are awesome. Take LOTS of pictures:)

Tracy: I put in a LOA due to my son's diagnosis. Lots of therapies in our future and if we can get those 40 hours of hab., we're going to use 'em. In addition, I found out that there is no position to come back to next Fall. I was hoping for at least .6 FTE, but there's nothing. So, while we learn this new path of services, I'm trying to map out a game plan for next Fall. Teacher Career Fairs are taking place soonin many districts around here, so that might lead to "something."

Lauren: The students don't have to have the same teacher. They have to have (2) years of the same foreign language. So, my students in French 1-2 who need a 3-4 credit next Fall, will now how to start over with another language OR look to get the credit online. It stinks all around. Hubby and I are in the same district. There aren't any openings for me. And you know, usually when two spouses are working in the same District, there's a huge break in medical. There goes that one . . .

You're singing:) The appointment went very well I take it:) Good to hear!

Donna: Thanks:) I guess I prefer to say that it all comes down to timing.

Liz: I'm glad to know that the home visit went well and you get to keep all of the same people. Makes it so much easier for both you and Tori.

Katie: You're awesome for doing a lot of the teachers' work for them:) Those phone calls are tedious and you never know what kind of a response you're going to get from a parent. Hablas espanol? We have to make at least 5 contacts/week and then turn in our sheets at the end of the month. Fun stuff.

We have our intake interview this coming Monday and we start private speech on Tuesday. I have a list of the some of the questions we'll be asked, so I'm sort of "prepared." Mountain of laundry and house stuff awaits . . .

Here's the link if anyone is interested in those Scentsy candles.

Happy weekend everyone!

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 11, 2012 6:14 pm (#107 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Lindsay- Ooooh that makes more sense! I'm sure you'll rock Monday's intake.

Tracy- In his own way Micah woke up arguing... one second he wants oatmeal for b-fast... next cereal... kid's killin' me.

Stacy- Can't wait to see all the pictures! Happy early birthday Elim!

Katie- That's outrageously early... I mean really... why?

Aaaaah Saturday... we have family coming to visit tomorrow so time to straighten up make the place look presentable... and then tomorrow... shots start!!! Eeeeks. I really don't remember the needle being so big!

Donna S - Feb 11, 2012 10:27 pm (#108 Total: 319)

Mom to Ryley, 26 weeker, Grace and Ethan, full-termers

Stacy - Happy Birthday Party weekend!! I so can't wait to see those pictures.

Katie - 6? As in a.m.? That is entirely too early. Although who am I to talk when we've been on soccer fields that early as well. UGH!!

Lindsay - Good luck with the intake on Monday.

Jac - I have to take notes to keep up anymore. lol

Tracy - She sounds like such a girl. Hope you got some good sleep. Ethan and I were doing battle over bed space and covers half the night. Then one of the cats woke me up twice clawing at the bed wanting up.

Lauren - I still mix in the "trashy" novels. Brain needs a break every once in awhile. And yeah, I often read the kids' books too. Can't help it...I get sucked in while I'm reading with them at night, but then I miss all the parts they read during the day. Happy house-cleaning! I'm doing that this afternoon too. And good luck with the shots.....thinking good thoughts.

Sooooo.....sounds like Grace's soccer team will be getting a new coach. But then this club has been known to get a new coach, then give the team back to the old coach a month later. I'm at a loss. Tryouts are Monday and Wednesday. I think we're going to have her try out, and then if her old coach gets the team back, we'll pull her. So much drama over a kids' team.

Jackie G - Feb 11, 2012 11:54 pm (#109 Total: 319)

Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

OMG, I'm so behind! Not even going to pretend to catch up.

Stacy - saw the pics on FB and they are ADORABLE! Looks like the party was great! Happy Birthday party day, Elim!

I'm so out of it this week. Matt was home the entire week and on thursday was diagnosed with Strep. He's been on antibiotics for over 48 hours and still spikes temps over 103! Poor guy. I worked from home all week but I really need to be in the office next week so he'd better kick that fever soon. And please, please, please cross your fingers that Kimmie doesn't catch it. You'll all read about some crazy lady in Detroit who jumped off her roof.

Angel Love - Feb 12, 2012 4:15 am (#110 Total: 319)

Jackie~ Did you say FB?????? Those pics were shared on FB while we're all waiting to see our might man Elim's party pics here???

STACY~~PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Elim!!!

Donna~ I don't blame you for not taking a chance with the crazy man again. That'll damage a kid for life!! I remember having a coach that totally killed my love for a particular sport.... good thing I got him last.

Lindsay~ I hate that the situation has you hanging, but I had to giggle at the fact that there are job fairs in your area. There are NONE in my area at all because nobody is able to hire due to lack of money!! Good luck on the events Monday and on the job search as well.

Oops....Jackie, I was in such a rant about that darn FB that I forgot to mention that I hope Matthew is better soon and that Kimmie has a Lysol fortress around her to keep her from getting it.

Brrr....it's frigid down here!! I just got home from a friend's house and my car temperature said 25 degrees!!!! Seriously, last week it was 70! I'm not complaining because it is winter, but it's taking some getting use to for sure!

lvazquez - Feb 12, 2012 4:42 am (#111 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Jackie: Ooh, strep huh? Poor Matt and poor you. Hope no one else gets it.

Tracy: Brrr that is some cold weather girl!

stacyat - Feb 12, 2012 4:49 am (#112 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: Ouch!!! Which shots do ya gotta do? 17P?

Donna: Is this the same old coach that was a jerkface last year? Ugh!

Jackie: Hope that Matt feels better soon and Kimmie doesn't get it! Elim's been on antibiotics for an ear infection since last Friday, brought him in yesterday, and still infected, no better in fact! So a new antibiotic, and his temp was 100.1 yesterday, and 100.4 today! Not horrible, but still, it shouldn't be going up at all especially with motrin still in his system for that second temp!

Tracy: You should get a facebook. We can name you Joe Schmoe and you can add only Share peeps, totally incognito and then you could see my pics right away. Same for you Lauren, only we can name you John Doe!

Because I'm lazy, and don't feel like shrinking my files here's a couple pics, and here's the link to my facebook pics. I believe I left the album as public so you should be able to see it, let me know if you can't see em! It was a blast, so much fun and so worth all the work! I am beyond exhausted, so I'm off to bed now! Night all!

Oh, and the crayon thing on bottom is something Charles' friend made for me! I <3 it, definitely going up somewhere in the house! She's also one of a set of twins, and she's pretty awesome at doing thoughtful things like this. Not sure if you remember me posting about it way back when, she's the one who had the prayer blanket made for me like two years ago.

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 12, 2012 5:05 am (#114 Total: 319)

I'm ridiculously impressed! I won't show Micah any of those pictures! He'll boycott his own birthday party for something better! lol! Love the crayon art- so thoughtful!

Jackie- Germ free hugs!!

Tracy- BRRRR!!!! That is freeeeezing! I seriously don't think I have winter in me anymore... I'm always gonna live somewhere tropical! Brrrr!

Donna- Ugh on the drama!

I had to work with a few fams this afternoon/evening so Lance took Micah to the drag races! Hope the boys are being safe! Back to organizing my office... it's never ending...

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 12, 2012 5:06 am (#115 Total: 319)

Oh... and somebody please stop me... I'm about to polish off a bag of Trader Joes Chocolate Covered Potato Chips...

Angel Love - Feb 12, 2012 4:02 pm (#116 Total: 319)

Stacy~ GREAT JOB!!!! Love the party pics and thanks for linking me to the "important" ones. I love the crayon art too! I've seen many on Pinterest, but none with the butterflies stamped in them. Ansley immediately asked if you could make her one!! LOL!

Lauren~ Chocolate covered potato chips I thought Trader Joes was suppose to have healthy alternatives......UGH!! Hope the boys enjoyed the drag races. Ansley always loves that event with her daddy too!

Speaking of......guess who was back up at 5 a.m. with vomitting and diahrea.....again. Um yep---the same kid who was up at 6:30 a.m. last week doing the exact same thing! Thankfully this morning she seems to feel fine, but good grief!

lvazquez - Feb 12, 2012 6:01 pm (#117 Total: 319)

Mom to Donovyn (32 weeker), Tristyn (34 weeker), and Naethyn (30 weeker born sleeping)

Stacy: He's adorable there with his little cake and colorful hands. Num num! The crayon art is really neat and I do remember you mentioning that before. Looks like you ALL had a great time!

Lauren: Go right on ahead and finish the bag! If it will help calm your nerves, go for it. Normally, I would suggest Scotch or something, but yeah, chocolate covered potato chips are way better for you right now:)

Tracy: Sorry your little one was up sick. That doesn't sound good at all. Hope she stays feeling better.

Mountain of laundry almost tackled. So bummed about Whitney Houston. I was just singing one of her songs yesterday- "I get so emotional baby. Everytime I think of you-ou-ou." So weird. I still have the cassette to her singing the Star Spangled Banner. I feel bad for her daughter.

Akeelah's Mommy - Feb 12, 2012 6:25 pm (#118 Total: 319)

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Tracy- Ewwwwwy! Hope that stays away!

Lindsay- I'm right with ya on the laundry pile... makes me think nudists are on to something... no laundry!

I gotta say the whole Houston was such an amazing fabulous wonderful person... I dunno... woman had amazing fabulous wonderful talent... and I'll bust out "I waaaannna dance with somebody..." like the best of them... but um... she was also everything ya don't want your kids to grow up to be... drug addict... alcoholic... sad story, and totally sad for her kiddo. Sorry, I'm heartless!

esgf - Feb 12, 2012 7:42 pm (#119 Total: 319)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Jackie- I hope matt feels better and that Kimmie does not get it. I am sorry but I seemed to have missed which job you decided to take. If you don't mind sharing. I love hearing about what everyone does.

Lindsay- I hope the intake and the job fairs go well. Both are so stressful. As tracy said, at least there are job fairs.

Stacy- WOW. That is a serious first birthday party. Congratulations, you deserve to sleep for a week..I hope everyone had as much fun there as we did looking at the pics.

Donna- I hope the soccer tryouts go well and the coach is nowhere to be found. I never understand why kids sports are a breeding ground for drama but they so are.

Lauren- Good luck with the shots. I hate all kinds of needles so I cannot watch but they are definitely for a good cause. I hope your house guests are lots of fun. Don't feel bad about the chips, I am currently addicted to somekind of popcorn chips from Costco, they are awesome

Liz- How was your trip?

We had snow this weekend and during abigail's ice skating lessons so that was fun. I am just glad that she is upright more often than she is on the ice now. So proud of myself. I am actually doing some of the cooking (basic) lately. Something I have never done before but it is going ok (at least is all edible) I am at work and headed home but wanted to see how everyone was doing. Sounds like you guys are a busy lot...
See you tomorrow.

Awww, that sounds magical to have snow and ice skating! Abigail is brave!

And you go with your cookin' self! Whatcha makin? I'm always lookin' for new recipes. I feel like we cook the same 5 things in different orders every week.

Why can't I just have a fairy godmother to put all the laundry away? They do it so proficiently.

Angel Love - Feb 13, 2012 12:42 am (#122 Total: 319)

Ellen~ Can you freeze some of what you cook and send it south?? I'm such a slacker when it comes to cooking!!

Lauren~ Hmmm......I've never found that fairy. She must hate that task as much as we do.

Let me just say that a full day of Disney channel will make the calmest person with a full night's sleep go completely crazy so to say the least--------I'm not doing so well with it right now!

stacyat - Feb 13, 2012 4:21 am (#123 Total: 319)

Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

Lauren: His next party will not be as crazy as this one, pinterest sucked me in and made me it's slave! Mmmm, send some my way, those sound interesting! Don't worry, I'm heartless too. Here's a couple recipes I found on pinterest! I loved the cheesy enchilada casserole especially.

http://www.justgetoffyourbuttandbake.com/?p=3352

http://www.chef-in-training.com/2012/01/crock-pot-chicken-parmesan.html

Tracy: Haha!! I've got no idea how to even begin with those! Rosie said it was kinda easy though, so maybe! Aww poor Ansley, I hope the nasties go away soon!

Ellen: It was a blast!! He won't remember it, but we'll have tons of pics to show him at least! Sounds like a ton of fun with the ice skating!!

OMG! So guess what! Elim decided he knows how to walk today!! It's so crazy, yesterday he wouldn't take a step on his own while he was paying attention! Today he just let loose! Still only like five steps max, but he's trying and it's sooooo cool to see him doing it, and without coaxing even!! I love watching him learn new things!

liz loschinskey - Feb 13, 2012 2:38 pm (#124 Total: 319)

I love my kids!

Morning ladies,

Weekend travels were nice. Visiting with friends and having girl time with no husband or kid were fabulous. Coming home and stopping at the Flight 93 Memorial was the best part of the trip. We couldn't get to the actual rock or wall of names, but it was nice. It was so windy and snowy at the tip toppity of the mountains, the park ranger said it was negative number temperatures and about a 300 yard walk to the impact site.

As for classes, I'm taking an Excel and Powerpoint class.

I did read all of the posts but have a 2 year old tugging at my pj pants....bbl

Angel Love - Feb 13, 2012 4:03 pm (#125 Total: 319)

Nasties are gone again for now ...

Waiting at the eye dr now ...with no contacts in. That's just plain mean!
