Donna, I was praying for rain for you. It totally worked.
Ellen, I'm so glad you had a fantastic V-day card/gift. That is awesome!
Tracey, Hooray for Winter break!
Lorena, I'm so sorry about your father and your sucky friends. It does put alot of things in perspective. When my son died I looked at my friends who came to the funeral. It was a big eye opener. -hugs, my friend-
Jackie-Booooo for sick babies. I hope you catch a break, soon!
Things here at home have improved. I used reverse wording on my DH and I think it worked. Used his exact words..I did that almost 2 weeks ago, I think it's working.
We ordered one of those sleepnumber beds...a king one(never had a king bed or had to buy $100 sheets)...I can't wait till it gets here. I booked our vacation...Myrtle beach here we come, in July for a week(Neverbeenthere)....AND bought myself valentines day candy yesterday(onsale) because DH didn't even buy me a flippin' card. I can't wait to go to class tonight to feel super smart, again.

Lorena - I am so sorry about your dad. Sending lots of hugs. Expected or not, it doesn't make it any easier.
Liz - Glad things are a little better at home. Thanks for the rain prayers!
Jackie - Ick. Praying the germs are contained to Kimmie. Hang in there......
I hate the morning battle to get the kids out the door on time with everything done. I'm exhausted by the time they're off to school.

Thank you all for your messages...... Jackie: Oh flu.... poor Kimmie and one week in the house..... Liz: When my angel passed away I really didn't saw who came or not, all was a "cloudy" and I have little memories of that..... My father used to say that in hospital, jail and funerals you really know your friends....... It was crowded with my father, even friends of childhood of my brothers and sisters came..... I felt like and orphan...so glad for your vacations.... sorry for V day....good luck in your classes..... Donna: I thought you didn't liked rain...... it is nice if you stay home, driving is horrible..... Lauren: Thx! hugs to you also...... Jessica: so nice about the card.... Maddie is a special girl..... Ellen: Oh I must have skipped Abby card story, it is so nice, I would have cried also....... Geri: I was thinking what is a pleural noun...... Dawn: I have not the slightest idea of the presidents trivia.... but I would look up the answers for general knowledge..... great work, must have been a great work to think all those questions....... I woke up at 4;30 am, got ready and took DH to airport, my FIL just called this morning to cancel his trip with my DH, I mean he could have told us yesterday, and maybe I could have used the plane ticket, since it was already payed for.... but it just went wasted...... I urgently need vacations, or a change of scenario..... Good day everyone.... Lorena

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Elim!
Lorena: I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad, many many hugs and prayers coming your way.
Jackie: Ugh, poor Kimmie, I hope the flu goes by quickly.
Ok, maybe with all the birthday craziness I can keep up in here? Elim had his well-child check yesterday and he was great! Got his shots, poor bubba. He's taking extra long naps today. He was 29.9 inches long and 22 lbs 9 oz (did I tell you 8 or 9 yesterday Lauren? I looked at the sheet and she wrote nine, guess I heard wrong).

Through my years as an adult, I've taught myself not to be codependant(mentally).
I can't help but have this constant spark in my brain about Kyle, Kate and the whole family since ShareUnion. Today, it's getting me choked up/misty eyed just thinking about it.
I was blessed to meet Kate and hear the non detailed Kyle's story at Share this past year. We were making our sand stories and I mumbled something about having a plain sand story and how I wasn't artistic at all. She told me..."Everyone is creative in their own way." looked at my sand story and said "It looks great!"
It's not like it was this super fantastic conversation but it was then, I thought, Wow, she has a great outlook on things, knowing I had this plainjane sand story with a cross on it. Everyone went home and I started doing some research on Big and read his whole life story. I feel as tho I'm right there with every word Kate types.
I appreciate and thank Kate for making me see things differently. There is not a day that goes by I don't pray for her and Kyle. I check her ThreeLittleSaints and Facebook everyday....just for that next update.
I guess what I'm getting at, please pray for this family...peace, strength...anything you can think of and Hug your little ones extra tight today. I know you guys know this...I'm just putting it out there.

Liz - Hugging, praying.
I have the best MIL in the world, honestly. Had lunch with her today. I never in my wildest dreams hoped I'd have the type of MIL who would talk to me like a friend. Not to mention it was a fabulous lunch. Now I could just curl up in a little ball.

Keith said we will be like the movie *My Big Fat Greek Wedding*....but instead of walking Maddie to Greek school it will be religion lol (our church is a block away) lol

Lorena~ I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I can't imagine that heartache. Like someone else said, expected or not....it's not easy. Hugs to you!!! I'm also sorry to hear that your friends weren't too supportive. Jess~ Yay for the house hunt going well! Jackie~ Really??? UGH!!!! I hope she's over it quickly. I'm so not a fan of the flu. First confirmed case? That's late in the year. Ansley was confirmed on November 1st. Lucky ya'll for getting more time for it to hit up there. Liz~ You're so right about Kate and her amazing attitude and family!!! She's been a source of strength for a lot of us here at Share and now it's our turn to help "hold her up"!! Love me some St. Clairs!!!! Lovin' the fact that I got to sleep in today!! I so needed a chance to recharge my batteries!! I'm adding to it by catching a movie and dinner with friends tonight~ Can't wait!

Liz: My heart is breaking for Kate and the rest of the family, definitely keeping Kyle close in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy your day!!
Donna: I guess he thought all those naps counted for night time sleep! He was up at 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and up for the day at 8:30! Charles got him at 2, me at 4 and the rest of the time I ignored him and he settled himself down after five minutes, still woke me up though!
Katie: Jealous!!!
Jessica: Haha!! Fingers crossed all goes as planned!

Stacy - UGH!!! Here's hoping he's back on track tonight. Jess - Good luck with the house! Ellen - I so know how lucky I am to have such a great MIL that I totally get along with. Poor Abigail.... Katie - Enjoy the three-day weekend!!! Tracy - Woooohooooo for sleeping in! Lauren - Put the belly pics in here too, please! Lori - Good to *see* you. Sending hugs your way! Four-day weekend here. I've lost my quiet Friday nights though. Grace has ballet (no looney moms anymore, thankfully), then basketball until 7:30. Ryley has baseball in there too, but Michael is taking him. I would really, really, really like to sit down to some mindless tv and a glass of vino. Family from church lost their baby girl today....they'd delivered yesterday (I think at 30 weeks) due to hydrops. She was doing well last night but then it fell apart today. Just heartbroken for so many reasons this week. Too many hurting friends.

Okay so went out with friends last night and saw the movie "This Means War" with Reece Witherspoon. It was an action movie, but was funny at the same time! Such a needed break from reality. Beach Birthday party? FUN!! Hope the weather cooperates for you Lauren!
Katie - Go Alex!!! Yeah, life gets kinda crazy when they get older and into all the activities. I'm feeling a little lost at the moment with *only* Grace's basketball games on Saturdays. Ryley starts baseball in a few weeks, and who knows when Grace starts soccer again.
Tracy - That's just too early on a Saturday morning.
Lindsay - yep, 30 weeks. I don't know much about hydrops but she had fluid in/around her lungs and chest cavity. They found it over a month ago. Guess they gave her a 50/50 chance of survival before delivery. They didn't know how sick she would be until she was born. Just aching for them.

Donna, prayers going up and my heart aches for them.
Lauren, I thought of you today. I shoved some meat in the crock pot with this terriaki seasoning stuff. OMG...it tastes like beef jerkey and is delish. (Tasted like it, not the consistancy). This is the 2nd time in 3 days I've crocked dinner. Yay for beach paarties, booooooo for cold and wind.
Katie, good luck at the tball game!
Tori's been cranky whhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnneeyyyyy all day. She woke up at 7(normally 9) and hasn't taken a nap yet(it's 430, she won't be getting a nap, now)
To say the least, she wore my last nerve around 9 this morning and I've been a female dog all day. Blah....Altho, I did bite the bullet and got all the bedding and extra sheets for our new bed...YaY!
Any organization ideas for my kitchen counter that seems to be the dumping ground for everything? Going to check pinterest, now.

I went to an Autism Conference today (yay for scholarships!). It was very insightful and hopeful. Listened to several inspiring stories and made a few contacts. Need more activities for kiddos on the spectrum (free if possible). I think I may have found a few after today:)

Lindsay- The best activities for kiddos on the spectrum are all the exact same ones you did before any diagnosis. Kids learn most naturally and best through regular interaction with their parents. With a kiddo on the spectrum, sometimes you have to slow down the pace of the activities or simplify the roles, but the activities stay the same. Making clear roles, like for laundry, I'm the giver and your the putter inner, or cooking, I stir, you stir... youtube RDI and you'll see lots of uber generous parents who have shared super cool videos of themselves with their kiddos. Liz- Ours is also a dumping ground... so we switched to a dumping drawer... same mess... but outta sight outta mind.. Donna- My heart goes out to that family, I hate thinking of what they are going through right now... the first days, weeks, months are brutal. So much to do... so little time.

Lauren - I hear you. We do all of those things. I am talking about OUTSIDE of the home:) There weren't too many activities going on. That was part of the problem. Park, park, park and half-priced Saturday movies in the a.m. at the local theatre. He's bored with play-do and we've taken the VCR away. Yes, I said VCR. I learned about FREE activities including horseback riding, bowling, and other nights out with families. Interaction for ALL.
