I can totally relate to your feelings, too. You are a whole different you after you lose a child. And sometimes, it seems like it could not possibly have been you that such a horrible thing happened to. I remember many days, especially soon after losing Tristan and Gunnar, that I felt like I was living the wrong life. Sometimes I'm still stunned that this MY life.

I'm so sorry that your family can't understand your grief. I think the only people who really can are those who have lost a child. Is there a support group in your area where you can meet other parents who have suffered a loss? They may not be the same age as you, but they will understand your feelings. I can't imagine your friends have any idea how to deal with your loss. I know I wouldn't have had a clue when I was 20. I barely do now...

I know Share is not the same as having people there in your day-to-day life, but we are here whenever you need us, like Samantha said.

I hope things get better for you.

Shannon

I hope that your family starts to be more supportive. Lots of hugs to you.
