Hey Julie-

I hope that you will get your good news soon:) I know it must be frustrating. I used to have normal cycles too and then bam, they changed. We're in our 30's and it's a bit different than before. Would the HCG injections have anything to do with delayed ovulation? You're right in that stress can play a huge part. I'm thinking of you and wishing you plus signs and double lines:)

Sorry girl! I'm sure that this is more than frustrating for you (and hubby), but I have no advice or experience with any of it. I hope that you'll get the answers that you're looking for sooner than later so that you can feel like things are moving in the right direction.

Ugh the up and down of charting and knowing what's happening. They can go on forever those darn annovulatory cycles!! If you have a kind and chart friendly doctor they could prescribe Provera to jump start it (they would have you do a preggo test first just to confirm what you already know).

The progesterone released after you O causes the temp increase (I know you know this).... sooo yeah. Big booooooooo!

thanks guys. I was reading online and it said you shouldn't let it go past 3 months or it can up your chances of getting reproductive cancers. I'm not even due to get my period til NEXT Thursday, but reading all this stuff about anovulatory cycles kinda freaked me out...especially since they said about it lasting for months at a time. I'm just hoping that it (AF) starts on time like it always does. My friend that was TTC at the same time as me (but is now 14 weeks) said she ovulated on like cd35, which I can't even imagine at this
point.
Thanks for your well wishes and advice!!

I have no experience with anovulatory cycles, but I did have fertility problems. I tired everything including charting my temp. It wasn't until I used a fertility microscope that I realized my cycles were off. I actually ovulate near the end of my cycle. It proved helpful when trying to conceive my son, Sam. Please know I am praying for you. God bless,
Elizabeth

It is SOOOO frustrating when your body isn't doing what you want it to do, and when you have no idea what it's doing. Last year after delivering Marco, I basically went through 8 months of this. The longest I went was 3 months w/out a period, then my OB would give me provera.

I wasn't charting really though, because I thought it would just add to my anxiety over it all. So, I took the wait and see approach. It's really just grueling.

The cycle I conceived Marco on was a delayed ovulation cycle (same w/ my sisters 2 kids...she didn't conceive till day 30something). Anyway - good luck. Just know that you're not alone.

Hugs,
Libby

Thanks Libby! Most of the people I know have no idea what I'm talking about. My CM has all but went away, and I'd assume it would come back again if I were to ovulate, right? At this point I just want AF to come so I can get it over with Thanks for sharing your experience though.. it still gives me some hope!!
