Mom to a 25 weeker who is now 8 years old and a 38.5 weeker who is now 6

Kathryn - Honestly, I'd make her stick with it a little longer. She might change her mind, but if not then tell her she can quit but won't get to sign up for anything new for a while.

Chris - Go Ally!!! That's awesome!

esgf - Aug 30, 2011 12:20 pm (#132 Total: 293)

Abigail's Mom (29 weeks, 3/21/05)

Kathryn- My parents had the same rule "if you started it you had to finish the season. Plus she might find she likes it better soon. I know I usually did.

Tracy- Abigail starts tennis in a couple of weeks too! I hope they both like it. I know you have been trying to find Ansley's sport.

Today my little girl is off to 1st grade. She walked with her Dad. They looked so cute holding hands...

I know...I have to figure out how to shrink them again..Unfortunately I missed the one with her and her dad but I think it is burned into my memory.

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Ellen, that is so sweet. I want to see some pictures!

Kathryn, I would make her finish the season or at least go a little longer before she quits. Maybe there is some other reason she doesn't want to do it, like someone on her team being mean to her or her friends are doing something else while she's at practice and she'd rather be with them.

Oh my gosh, now Nathan doesn't have homework yet - gotta love preschool, but when I was in school I used to love doing my homework. I would do all my weekend homework on Friday so I could enjoy the rest of my weekend! I was a nerd even back then, right Tracy

... I plead the 5th! And there is nothing wrong with loving graph paper with all the great little boxes and lines, it makes everything so organized!

Laura - reminds me of a guy I went to college with who wrote EVERYTHING with a ruler - just to keep his lines straight. But that's the kind of people you find in the engineering world. Hey! Did you ever think about being an engineer?!?

No, I like to keep my love of spreadsheets secret - once that gets out people tend to laugh at them, even though I'm usually the most organized person around!

Hi, you should look under the parent to parent section there is a folder titled 'cerclage' and that will contain a lot of information about them from the mom's who have had one done or who just had questions. Good luck!

Come to ShareUnion 2012: It's the BEST weekend ever!!!

Woops, forgot to mention that it's in teh folder titled 'Pregnant? On Bedrest? Trying Again?'

To get to it you will click on 'Parent to Parent' then 'Pregnant? On Bedrest? Trying Again' and then 'Cerclages'

Some fancy people know how to post links to certain places, I am not one of them. I can just give detailed directions on how to get there.

I happen to be one of those "fancy link people" so here you go!

    Cerclage discussion folder

All (or at least most) of the discussions in that folder are about cerclages. You can start your own or check out what other people have posted!

Tomorrow is World Prematurity Day, and it’s time to let our elected officials know how important it is for them to support the PREEMIE Reauthorization Act. Since the original passage of the Preemie Act in 2006 we’ve seen a real decrease in Premature Birth. This Act *IS* making a difference in our fight against premature birth – so please contact your Senators and Representatives and ask them to support the PREEMIE Reauthorization Act... we need to keep this momentum going!
