Hi Lauren,
I know how those little reminders make us think of all the things that should be ... and keep us in amazement that things are actually going well. Micah is a true gift and he's here to stay with you.
He should be turning one soon, right?

It's amazing how fast time flies but how vivid memories are. I can't believe that we're celebrating a whole year already. He's brought so much joy to all of us in this year!!
Hugs to you all!

Another parent at our Family Teams meeting said something that has stuck with me...."Funny how I can't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, but I can remember everything about the days leading up to, and that day."
Micah is amazing, and yes, he's here to stay.
Hugs,
Donna

The comment that Donna shared is so true for me as well. Lauren, I sometimes catch myself doing the same. Sometimes I just can't believe that with all that's happened and with all of my medical problems that I have any children at all. When they're sleeping our even when my youngest is taking a nap, I still check on them to make sure I see their chests rising! So scared that I am going to lose another one somehow.
I hope that when your hosting obligations are over that you can take that time to have that quiet refelction. Your little Micah is super precious! I'm so glad that I got to meet you both (and grandma) at SU:)

OK I had to get caught up on a few of your blogs (sorry ) but OMG the picture of him and your hubby witht the tattoo is awesome. Totally love it.
Aww its so sad seeing them grow up. I still cry at every birthday and shes 5. I just want to hold on to her and all these years forever and I feel like they are just slipping away so fast.
Love you honey, totally understand.
xoxo

Haha. King under the lunch tray! That does make solitaire more challenging.
Make time for yourself to reflect on how different your world is now with Micah in it and thriving. I know you miss Akeelah every moment, but I also know you appreciate every moment with your son. I'm sure he knows that too.

Happy first birthday Micah! I was a couple days late for the post, but right on time for the big day! I hope it's a great day for all of you!
I still feel the same way about Tanner...like I still can't believe I have a baby...even though it's been a whole year!!!
Love,
Megan.
