I totally agree with you about the NICU show.. I was not impressed eitheer.. I was expecting the same things you were.. I had 26 week twins, and their NICU ontv was NOTHING like ours.. I actually think from experience that they show was filmed in a leve II nicu, whereas our twins were in a level 4.. I know exaactly what it's like to get that dreaded phone call, where the NICU docs call you in to say goodbye.. We got it a few times.. Being told, NO, you can't touch your baby today, he's too sick, watching them flip the baby after 12 hours on one side (due to the vent), seeing their head flat on one side, swollen on the other, knowing your baby is paralyzed medically.. that is more what I was expecting... wow 18 days in the NICU... they oughtta take some stories off here and make shows out of them.. I feel the show gave an unrealsitic look into NICU's.. which makes it like the rest of us are exaggerating when we tell our stories..

I totally agree with you ladies. I was hoping they would show more of women like me who was on bed rest for 6 weeks. Praying and hoping to make it to my magic goal. Not to take away from what those family felt because I am sure they had their ups and downs but I don't think it really shows what the NICU is all about.
