Hiking the appalachian trail
nbbm9 - 08:08pm May 22, 2007 ESTI'm thinking of starting a campaign to get donations to benefit the MOD. My idea was to walk the entire Appalachian trail from Ga. to Me. The entire trek would be 2160 miles. I'm trying to gain corporate and individual sponsers before the 2008 hiking season begins in april. ALL proceeds will go directyly to MOD. I had 2 kids pass away in 94 and 95 , each baby was born at 28weeks. i have for yrs been trying to help the MOD cause and in my own way this trek will be a memorial to my babies while hopefully helping out other families that are sure to encounter these situations. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris

love to help
we do some hiking down here in Alabama. one of my goals is to hike the A.T. I would love to hear more of your idea and am willing to help however possible. We actually just got back from a hike up in the Sipsey Wilderness(Bankhead National Forest) in North Alabama. I know the guy who is the Editor of Wild South magazine and I know for a fact that he would advertise(if thats the right word) for you and get the public more involved Let me know if your interested. we could also help with the sponsers, my husband works for a hunting lodge in the Spring and has made connections to some people in the "outdoors buisness" we could surely hook you up there, seems like he met someone from Smart Wool apparel last year, just let me know we can see what we can come up with! GREAT IDEA
