Looking for Family Teams from Long Island New York

Hello everyone! My name is Ann Morrison and I am a Community Director for the March of Dimes on Long Island New York. My primary responsibilites are to work with our family mission teams on Long Island. Over the past year we have had such great success on Long Island not only in growing the number of family teams, but also in working with our families to raise awareness and offer support - something we are very proud of.
As part of our ongoing commitment to support familes who have been affected by a premature birth, we will be hosting our third annual "Share Your Story" Brunch on Long Island on Sunday, March 25, 2007 from 1:00 - 3:00 at the IEBW Local 25

We want you to know that you are not alone. We held our first “Share your Story” Brunch two years ago as a way to reach out to families on Long Island who have been affected by a child born prematurely or with a birth defect. In addition to feeding them, we gave them information on the March of Dimes and all it is doing to help prevent premature births. We provided information how they could get involved in helping our mission. And most importantly, we gave them the opportunity to share their story with the others attending, families who knew and understood the journey they had taken.
Our “Share your Story” Brunches have been wonderfully successful and are an important part of the type of support we have committed to giving to families here on Long Island.
