Mom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!

I haven't been to an official M4B walk yet, but my favorite part of the walk I put together was the memorial garden we planted, with butterflies for the angels and flowers for the preemies! It really put it into perspective just how many there were in our small group of people!

A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.

Our walk has started an angel avenue (see pictures below). To get it started I basically suggested it to our board/committee and offered to be in charge of it and wham it's been at the past three walks.

We also started a family team tent last year... but we need more activities to draw folks in. I really like the stamp idea from Jackie (I think). That kids could pick up a stamp card from the tent, get stamps as they walk the route and then turn them in to the family team tent for a prize.

In our tent we had a art activity and stories of mission families posted.

Look forward to hearing other folks ideas!! We're always looking for ways to keep our walk exciting for folks.

Ooooh... I'm also curious about what folks do for M4B kick offs....

I'm so not at the level of tents and kick offs yet! The community director from my area called me in December and asked if I'd like to be more involved in the new march that started in Ithaca last year, so I'm hoping I get the chance to share some of your ideas. I love the stamp idea! My niece and I did that at a local historical site and she really enjoyed it.

I don't even have a team yet

Shannon- I think that's so cool that the community director knew you were a go to person! I'm lovin' the stamps too. I'm hopeful we can get that off the ground.

super excited for walk....love walk season....I have lots of new ideas for this years tent....not sure how it will go down but.
Might be a little pricey...gotta price it out.
Figured we could have different stations for every event we do year round....just of pictures and decorate each little corner accordingly. Then put a little video together of all our events to try to get some more people to join us.
Every year I say I'm taking pics for you girls and that morning always becomes so hectic it never really pans out that well....I have some I'll post. Our tent last year was awesome. Hoping this years to be better.

In our tent we tried to recreate Holland....the *tulips* (Yes I know they dont look that much like tulips but hey they were made out of tissue paper) were all around the outside of our tent along with a huge blow up sign of the Holland poem.

That's awesome, Jessica. Not too difficult and powerful!

Jess - you guys do some awesome stuff - do *you* wind up paying for it or are you given a budget from your local chapter?

I pay for some of it but really dont have to....our director is pretty good. He usually says dont go nuts and I know what that means. He'll pay. He knows we bring in a lot of new families this way. They come to check it out and we get snag them up and get them to join the committee and get more involved....
