Our June Shining Star: Lindsay
stacyat - 01:30am Jun 28, 2012 ESTMom to Emilyn and Hailey (our 20 week angels) and Elim (our 38 week, full term miracle)!
We are pleased to announce our June shining star, Lindsay (lvazquez), author of blog
Lindsay's Latest!
Lindsay's oldest son Donovyn was born premature at 32 weeks after she developed pre-eclampsia and spent three weeks in the NICU. He is now a happy and healthy six year old. Her next son Tristyn was born at 34 weeks after it was discovered he had low-amniotic fluid, they were able to bring him home on a bili-blanket, he is now four years old and has been diagnosed with autism, mixed receptive/expressive language disorder and developmental coordination disorder. When her third son, Naethyn was born sleeping at 30 weeks along she was drawn to the March of Dimes and then Share after receiving a flyer in their baby bundle. She had been on bedrest since 21 weeks, and after Naethyn was born it was discovered she had had an abruption, a blood clot and undiagnosed pre-eclampsia. She has been a member of share since March 2009, and started volunteering for us in May of 2010.
Lindsay has also volunteered in other areas by participating in the local March of Dimes walk and fundraising by doing bake sales, purses for preemies, scentsy candles, school fundraisers, and other online fundraisers. She is also on the family teams committee for the past two years. Other volunteer activities include helping out with information tables at March of Dimes events, making angel pages for the travelling scrapbook, and her husband has done tv interviews in Spanish for the March of Dimes on Telemundo.
Her favorite part of Share is being able to easily connect with other moms who are experiencing life's unexpected challenges.
Please join me in thanking Lindsay for helping out in all the ways she does for the March of Dimes and Share Your Story! We are so proud to have you here with us helping to provide loving support to all of our other Share members. Thank you for all that you do!

You are such a great supporter and advocate here on Share and in your community for all of those who are struggling, for the March of Dimes, for your family. I don't know how you find the time, but I'm glad you do. Thank you!
